Ordered a gun from Classic Firearms on 11/5. Paid and provided them with a transfer ffl. 9 days later my order has not shipped, in fact it's still listed as "ready for picking."

Without me contacting them, they sent an email apologizing for the delay due to an unprecedented number or orders. But strangely shortly before this I ordered a tokarev from them and it shipped almost immediately. Is this really just a case of them being bogged down with orders or are they selling guns they have not yet taken possession of?

Did you order the firearms shortly after you came out of the cave you've been living in for the past 8 months?

It's not like the country has seen a massive increase in the sales of firearms and ammunition. It sure wouldn't have anything to do with the presidential election held 2 days prior to you placing the order.

This comment also involves sarcasm.

I picture your box falling behind a shelf in the shipping and receiving area where it will forever sit alone as it waits to be shipped. At this point, I'd hit them up.

I recently ordered 2 guns from Classic Firearms. One of them was the Romanian Tokarev. It took a while for them to be picked and and shipped. When they shipped both guns they provided only one tracking number. So I assumed they shipped both guns in one box. Only one gun showed up when the shipper showed up. It turned out that they shipped them separately under two different tracking numbers. So obviously they make mistakes.

I would certainly contact their Customer Service and find out what is going on.

Everyone is struggling with chinese flu.

I don't know how big a place the site you bought from is but .. support people in shipping and warehouse are staying home because they have gotten sick or were quarantined, leaving businesses to try and keep up with less people.

I just waited almost a month for a Bike part for the same reason. Circumstances change and we have to offer some leeway. The company I bought from let me know straight on though that they were backed up and what the lead time might be. if the shop you ordered your gun from didnt .. they should and maybe you should contact them and offer a friendly suggestion.

I am ok if something is going to take 3 weeks .. but I do want to know

it is evident that they are selling goods they are yet to take possesion of. file a case against them

No, that is not clear.

What is most likely happening is that they are using a virtual warehouse, just like nearly every firearms store in the country. It's a very common practice called "virtual warehousing".
Go look at Tombstone Tactical's website. They don't have a single one of those firearms in their physical brick and mortar store, but it all says "in stock"; they are using the inventory of a nation-wide distributor like Sports South, Davidson's, Lipsey's, etc. When you order the item, the order ends up at Lipsey's, and they ship it to your FFL. Or worse, they ship it to Classic Firearms, who then has to ship it to your FFL. That is where the time delay is. Oh, and everyone is dying of COVID and there is a unprecedented demand for firearms.

So relax. It will ship when it ships. Amazon Prime has ruined everyone's shipping expectations.

aint that the truth .. I will admit to sometimes still being amazed. I remember when it seemed EVERYTHING that you ordered was 6-8 weeks. Didnt seem to matter what or where it was

6-8 weeks!

Yup the Xray glasses you ordered from the back of the comic book that you were so sure was going to allow you to see through girls cloths ... 6-8 weeks!

I saved up the Bazooka Bubble Gum comics and got mine for free! You can imagine my disappointment when they arrived....

shiat its been 60 years and someone just busted me bubble, they don't work, dang it
i've waited all this time.

next yer gonna tell me the stork isn't real

Impact guns is running 7-10 BUSINESS days before shipping a gun. This is normal right now with everything going on.

the process is called "Just in Time Inventory" supposed to be more efficient but in reality just saves them having to borrow money to prepurchase inventory

I think the problem was there were less people buying Tokarev's than buying shotguns hence the longer wait on the shipping list.

Ordered two supposedly in stock from Tombstone Tactical on 11/07. Shipped today, will be at dealer on 11/30.

They said there were delays of more than 12 business days for guns, so not too concerned.
