Sooo, I dislike the TSA as much as the next guy. They are pretty much useless in the best of times. But they are people who are having to go to work and they are not receiving pay. A loan is a good way to put gas in the car and pay some rent so you can ACTUALLY make it into work.
I repeat, I detest the TSA. But the average TSA person at the airport makes s*** money, and now they aren't even getting that. The average pay for an airport security worker is 25K to 38K. Not the easiest thing to have thousands of bucks put away for emergencies when you make 25k.

My only point being that for 420,000 people, this isn't a paid vacation. Sure they're gonna see a nice fat paycheck when they DO get paid, but they aren't being paid anything to cover their expenses right now, even though they have to be at work.
