Who cares....just answer the question steve. Yes they are asking. It's a soft way of saying we don't want guns here at all. That's all. It keeps them from looking to bad.

Can't read the above posts, both are on my ignore list,... so, just going by the subject line,... "OPEN CARRY" will be alive and well long after every person on this board turns to dust!

If you cant read the posts why are you commenting. Sounds stupid to me. Sounds like you just want to move your lips without looking at why you are moving your lips. Are you a Dem?

As long as the law says it is legal and absent any posted signs saying "guns are not welcome here per...", public statements asking not to is moot and a waste of breath, but it does give one a heads-up as to their political leaning ... do you really want to fund their operation in light of that?

Also to the OP- punctuation matters- I know today's schools don't teach jack about proper English, but when trying to communicate with others, especially through written word, it does help with understanding what you are trying to say. ya dig?

He knows exactly what has been posted.
He for some reason likes to say " so and so is on my ignore list ."
He thinks it makes his comments relevant.
Apparently I am also on his ignore list ( which is just fine with me ) and he is on my ignoramus list.

Well there is a new list of places that are asking not to open carry. So is asking the same as saying no more?

I have to imagine that "asking" is akin to a mandate. If they ask you to leave .. then I think the answer is, it is the same as saying "No More".

As far as language goes, its the same as the cop at a checkpoint who says, "excuse me but could you please pull your car over to the side" He taint really ASKING

Are they that scared of loosing that many patrons to walmart by asking instead of coming strait out and telling. Those no gun stickers are pretty cheap aren't they?

I agree. Just ban it then. It's a far uglier look to have people escorted out under police supervision. I am not for the "No open carry" movement but Wal-Mart and the others should just be open about their stance and let shoppers decide.

Unfortunately places like AZ are shy small business and for some not using a Wal-Mart isn't an option.
