As of June 2023, you are no longer be able to buy antibiotics at the feed store without a prescription,...specifically as a result of the federal campaign to try to dissuade people from accessing ivermectin horse paste.
That pisses me off because I have for years kept a supply of amoxicillin and erythromycin on hand that I've been able to inexpensively and easily source from my local feed supply house.
When I heard the new rule was going into effect (about this time 2 years ago), I went straight to the feed store and bought 2 bottles of amoxicillin. I recently used those up, so I went back,...hoping somehow the rule had been cancelled or the store wasn't aware of it. But nope,...they had been out of amoxicillin for 4 months and didn't foresee getting any again. So I decided to look online and see if there was anyone selling it online. To my surprise, it can still be ordered to your door. I used HARDY PAW, and received a test order of a bottle today.
