I just retired in March and moved here to Prescott Valley in April. I have a lot of family in CA and I have told them I am not coming to I visit for the holidays. Not only is CA starting to lockdown again and telling everyone not to have family over for Thanksgiving but I refuse to spend my money and help prop up their economy. BTW, my very small pension from the Operating Engineers Union also leaves CA every month and I am a big proponent of buy local and helping the local economy.
The guys over at High Country Guns are great people to talk to. The problem they have is like everyone else, their inventory is low due to all the panic buying. Also check out Bill’s Trading Post. They are mostly reloading supplies but last time I was there they had a decent inventory of guns for sale.
I go out to the local range at least a couple times a week so if you are ever out this way send me a message and we can meet at the range.
I usually shoot at Insight Shooting Center as they are close to my house. I have been wanting to go to Compass to shoot pistols at 25 & 50 yds and do a little load development with a couple of rifles. I have not been out there yet. What range are you shooting at? I've been doing my shooting at Compass Training Center, for no other reason than they had the best price, and are only about 20 - 25 minutes from my house.
As soon as my new gun gets here, I'll be going to the Prescott Action Shooters USPSA matches (sold most of my competition guns before leaving California, good time to be doing that).

I’m no where near being a competition shooter. I just enjoy shooting my old guns.

Yeah my wife had cataract surgery on the 5th and having the second eye done this Thursday. Got a dr appt for her tomorrow and surgery follow up on Friday. Then thanksgiving next week. That’s great! Her first eye has been pretty successful considering it has not been 2 weeks yet. She still has a spot of blood like a floater that is still clearing up. Otherwise she doesn’t need glasses for that eye. It’s kinda funny she is wearing glasses with one lense in it.Robert1234 said:I had cataract surgery on both eyes last year. Doctor keeps telling me I need reading glasses, but I don't. Other than the two months where my vision was like looking out a filthy window, the cataracts were the great cause it got my eyes fixed.

We just got back from the doctor. She is all set to have her other eye done Thursday. She has 20/25 vision now out of her newly modified eye.
