aside from a tractor, my first driving experience was a 42'' cj 2a down on ranch, we used it with an auger to set corner and gate lead posts for stock fencing, and occassionally to stretch fence. little 4 banger did maybe 20 mph, hardest dang seats ever short of being on a wagon seat. could never get away from the gas smell as you were setting on the dang tank, lol, sure did make putting holes in the ground for posts a whole lot easier, getting there beat you to death though, but did start my life long love of off roading

My first real driving experience was when I was 11 or 12 I drove a Diamond T, small cab concrete mixer. Mesa sand and rock. Twin stick 5 by 4.
Once I was big enough to reach the peddles, dad had me drive them from the line, to inside the shop. Then back into the line across the yard. Hooked me on driving! 👍🏼

Nice Jeep, i still have my 2006 LJ Rubicon, no plans to ever sell. I like the Yellow 2 door, closer to the original Jeep Concept than the giant 4 door JL's and Gladiators.
Thx, the bright yellow for me has a twofold memory.
My first 4x4 was a 67 bronco I bought in 77’. I had Dad spray it bright yellow with
black trim.
Second was Dad had a 43 flat fender willys in the 60’s it was yellow as well.

Love Jeeps.

My dad bought a '48 CJ2A when I was in high school, prior to me being old enough to get my license (early 90s). I was "my first car" when I got it tho. Drove it for two years until I bought my Scout II my Junior year. He still has it. Although, the he has since stretched the body 4" in the footwell area (he's 6'1"), and put it on a CJ5 chassis with a Vortec 4.3 and a TH350.

I currently have a '87 XJ...wish I still had that Scout though..
