Any easier holding a CCW? No

Any different whether a suppressor or SBR? You can e-file F1 an SBR and have the stamp back in a month or so. A suppressor you have to F4 and wait anywhere from 3 months to 1 year plus since the ATF has no rhyme or reason to how they do things. Assume it's going to take 1 year and be pleasantly surprised if it comes back sooner.

Everything superdrag67 is correct, there is one more option though. you can build a suppressor form one of the readily available "solvent traps". These are basically undrilled suppressors, like an 80% lower. You can submit an E-File form 1 as a manufacturer and get the tax stamp back as quickly as the SBR SD67 mentioned.

Form 1 is running less than 30 days on NFA Tracker for SBR/Suppressor under a trust.

I’ve just completed 3 form 1s. They’re super easy once you get your first one down.

Pretty much, for Form 4. There are online vendors as well. You would just need to have it transferred to you local FFL that can do the transfer.

To do a Form 1, and do the build yourself, you need to start on the efile website.

For Form1 search ATF EForms and create an account. There’s a bunch of YouTube videos on how to do it.

Trust is way to go, IMO. If you don’t have one, get one from Silencer Shop or another NFA Trust Company.

Yes you do.

Pick a number, and model number. It’ll go in to “research,” since you’re not an established mfg. My S/N for first can is 001.

SB Engraving does excellent work. He did my SBR.

The engraving or stamping (impressing) of the serial number must be to a minimum depth of .003 inch and in a print size no smaller than 1/16 inch.
