Just picked up a 2011 Silverado with the 6.2 and I want to get it tuned. Anyone have experience with a local tuner near North Phoenix? I'd rather do local with a good rec before I do mail tune from blackbear

There are quite a few good "tuners" in town.

The issue is - how much do you want to pay and what do you expect? Canned tunes are ok for something like a mostly stock crowd - but they will never beat out an actual tuning session in person. The reason canned tunes are so popular is the price. If you go with a canned tune - make sure they do revisions, where you send them datalogs and they tweak it for your vehicle. The only "canned" tune I ever used was from Torrie @ Unleashed Tuning - and he made 3 or 4 revision via the datalogs on my SHO. I don't know if he does GM stuff - but if he does Unleashed Tuning is worth looking into as I was happy with the whole process.

In town - there are plenty of reputable tuners. I have personally used a few depending on what I was having tuned - Rich and the crew @ Dynocomp, Tony @ UMS, Mark @ SpeedSports.

Not looking for a canned tune. I can get a custom tune from blackbear for around 400. Used them on another truck and he does good work but the turnaround is slow

Why are you wanting to tune it? If it's stock, leave it alone. Maybe turn off the AFM.

Custom tune wakes it up with better throttle response, shift points, etc. Mine has the L9H, no AFM. A good tune really woke up my 98 I gave my son.

Dad joke warning!

For tuning, you should go to Bill Opporknockity's Tuneup Service. Bill offers a lifetime guarantee, because as everybody knows...

Sorry. I have been saving that one up for years.
It wasn't worth the wait, was it?
