California had established a goal of confiscating 20,000 over three years under the new gun control law they enacted following Sandy Hook. They wanted to seize firearms from people who had become prohibited persons or had mental health problems.

But California is having trouble hiring enough people to go out there and seize all those guns. Looking for work? You, too can have a rewarding career as a California firearms confiscation engineer.

"New hires make between $50,844 and $66,852, and a recent report by the California Department of Human Resources found that state agents make around 19 percent less than their local counterparts."

Glad they are having trouble hiring. It should be pointed out though that in most large cities in CA, that salary would have them living in the crappy part of town. If they could even afford that in some places.
 
Might be an indication of how people disagree with those laws even in CA.

You are right Rj. "Supposed" mentally ill person.

But, in that job, they would have it in their minds that there is potential that they would run into a crazy person with a gun and that potential might actually be significant even with the law being f..k'd.
 
Yep, as far as mentally ill, one can't decide if they are till a full blown pysc is done, even then it may not reveal they are off, its a bull shait feel good law thats some liberal asshole came up with to get votes.
it will in fact get a gaggle of folks, killed, or worse, mentally damaged and physcially maimed for the remainder of their life.

california needs to fall off into the ocean, so we can get back to a late 50-60s paradise coastal area on the west side of Arizona. just saying

Actually this isn't part of the unconstitutional "Red Flag" stuff. The list they mention is that of felons and others who aren't legally allowed to have weapons.

The Red Flag stuff gets handled by local law enforcement not the State DOJ Agents.

That being said I don't agree with the laws in any event.
 
I haven't read the details of this confiscation law. Does it say that any person can anonymous call to report someone they know that has a gun and think is a danger to himself or others?

In the case where an anonymous report can be given, what is to stop a campaign of anti gunners making calls to report anyone they know who has a gun regardless of their mental competence? Somebody like Soros could fund such an ordeal quite easily.

That salary's pretty weak for a moving target job. Hopefully, the position's detriments and risks pose too hazardous.
 
Sincerely,... I couldn't care less about all the fascist actions of the California Government infringing on US citizens stupid enough to allow such!!!

Where I am more concerned, is, with the many US citizens escaping Cali because of this tyranny, bringing their left wing indoctrinated mentality to Az., and the other states they seek refuge in.

That is the only down side,... imo.

Unfortunately, usually whatever political movement happens in Cali usually starts to spread across other democratic states. Arizona will turn into a Democratic state within the next decade because nobody is stopping them.
 
50K in Kalifornicatya is like 20K AZ wages but I do agree with what they are doing. With Kalifornicateyas liberal voting last couple decades they'll just shoot themselves in the foot if they have guns.
 
$66k is nothing compared to what you can net by selling the confiscated guns for on the CA black market
