First test: - Compliance, Covid "emergency", Lockdown, distancing, business control.
.
Second test: - How to reach the greatest % of population for the next "emergency".
(just in case the media doesn't carry water, and people try to react quickly on social media)

Sounds more like the modern version of Operation Alert from 1954! No need to panic.

In 1954, the United States Federal Civil Defense Agency instituted an exercise called Operation Alert. It was a civil defense drill that took place on the same day in scores of major cities. Citizens in what were called the "target" areas were required to take cover for fifteen minutes. At the same time civil defense officials tested their readiness and their communications systems, and federal officials practiced evacuating from the capital.

Not a crazy one-off occurrence.

Back until the late 70's there where air raid sirens on poles all along east Grant Road in Tucson.
Every Saturday at 2:00 PM they would have a test and blare them
They were put up in WWII.

If any enemies are planning to attack the US, what better time to do it, than when everybody is expecting a false alarm?

Well Wednesday is about over and I got no alert at all.
I guess when the big one's coming I'll be the last to know, LOL

It went off about quarter after 11. It must've varied by carrier. My buddy got 1 message on his personal phone, and 3 on his work phone. 2 of which were in spanish...

The one thing that was fairly odd this time and they've been doing these since 2006 was this:
