At least one major mainstream media outlet, the LA Times, has been reportedly “angry” that gun sales have shot up because of the tyrannical takeover of government in response to the COVID-19 panic they induced. Apparently, fear can have effects on the public that the MSM and government do no want – more self-reliance.

According to a report by Big League Politics, the LA Times is “throwing a fit” that other humans are buying weapons to defend themselves against the obvious tyranny. Remember, this follows their theme. The more dependent you are on them and the system they set up against you, the easier you will be to control. Taking your self-defense into your own hands was never a part of their plans. In fact, the LA Times editorial board described the increase in gun sales as follows:

"Since the start of the pandemic, Americans are buying more guns. The FBI says it conducted a record 3.7 million background checks for would-be gun buyers, a loose proxy for firearm sales, in March as lockdown orders spread across the nation. In April the checks dropped to 2.9 million but rebounded to 3.1 million in May. The monthly average for 2019 — itself a record year for background checks — was 2.4 million. So even as we get fresh studies connecting possession of firearms with increased risk of gun violence, accidental shootings (usually by children) and suicides, we are adding more firearms to the nation’s already numbingly large privately owned arsenal of some 300 million guns (no reliable count is available) owned by about a third of the population." -LA Times

The board goes on to say that this amount of gun sales can be considered “madness.”

So even as we get fresh studies connecting possession of firearms with increased risk of gun violence, accidental shootings (usually by children) and suicides,

Note: not actual increased violence, accidental shootings, and suicides, just increased risk. Are the people producing these "studies" the same people who said there would be increased "risk" of shootings at every fender-bender and in every bar and restaurant if Arizona were to give people "permission" to carry concealed weapons? Are they the same people whose "studies" said that 1.6 million Americans would die from the Virus-Formerly-Known-As-Wuhan, and that there would be 3000 deaths per day by June 1?

We need a federal Depends subsidy for the LA Times.

Now all these liberals that voted for all these anti gun politicians are whining about all the background checks and waiting periods they have to go through before they can take their gun home.
I doubt it , but maybe they will think about it next time they talk about gun control.

If Biden is elected and we loose the Senate I'm sure we will see lots of gun legislation that will have be challenged by law suits that will eventually go to SCOTUS. With John Roberts voting the way he has lately we could see a lot of gun control laws passed. I hope not but it really worries me.

Agreed this is my concern as well...........remember to vote early and often.

Biden is up in the polls here.

Not sure how accurate that is but we do have a lot of Californians in this state now.

Left and logic are an oxymoron. They cause a panic and gun sales go up. They then make a big deal about too many guns and gun sales go up. They pass anti gun laws and gun sales go up. This is not a new trend. It's happened that I have seen since the GCA 1968! It will happen in coming weeks when Lefties announce the next stupid idea. If Biden gets elected I want stock in Colt, S&W, Ruger and...well you get the Idea. Why, because you are smart, not Left.

Biden is up?

How many conservatives have been polled? I sure haven't EVER

they poll in areas where it fits the agenda, they try what I believe to be a form of "peer" pressure by saying look everyone likes dumbass he is ahead so you should like dumbass too.

MSM angry with the up swing in gun purchases. Wow, I'm so up set that I think I'm going to have a couple of slices of pizza, a cold beer and watch a John Wayne dvd.
