There is a house in Scottsdale where a bobcat and her little ones took up residence in a courtyard of a million dollar home. They would sit inside and watch them in their courtyard. G&F declined to remove them.

Always fond of the old saying that if you wanted to know how much time someone spent in the wilderness in AZ, you don't ask them how many years they've been doing it, you ask how many mountain lions they've seen.

Were you intentionally setting up the joke?

Every man wants some p***y when he's been in the woods for a bit...

Approx. 30 years ago, I had a big one come up behind me while I was Varmint calling in the hills east of San Manuel. Scared the shit out of me. He was literally living room distance away. I turned to try to get him, and I fell about 10’ off from the ledge I was sitting on Landed on a rock, banged up my .223 Ruger #1 and leupold scope. Did not get the lion.
That same year I had seen Jaguar tracks in the same general area. I never got to see him though.

I do a fair amount of prospecting and we see tracks on occasion, never saw a cat myself though. Just yesterday there was a post from one of our members that had an encounter yesterday morning, here it is: “It was oh so real in my face when i saw this happening to us. Ther was 6 circling the truck and tent with 3 more in the wash watching. I do believe the pile of bones i discovered across from our camp was the invitation for this many. I'm glad I got out and stood my ground and got my son out the tent and in the car before one from the wash came up and sprayed his tent, then jumped on top of it! Got a couple holes to prove it!” I don't know if he got any pics or not but he was concerned about his young son for sure. When I go out prospecting with my son (Grown 20yrs old) we both have 9’s on our hips and 1 AK in the truck and 1 AR (308) in the truck. This all happened yesterday morning NE of wickenburg on the gpaa gold claims.

So where do you sell the gold dust you found?

AmFed in Cave Creek is paying top dollar for placer.

Makes me think of this guy a few years ago

Have been sightings in our area, we always get many bobcats, coyotes and pretty much every other Sonoran desert inhabitant walking through our property at one time or another. No lion yet though.
