My friend does custom motorcycle seat upholstery. In case any one else wants to improve theirs.

From my 06 DL650 VStrom

I wanted to reduce sliding forward, and make the seat more comfortable to sit on. As well as I would sit in passenger seat sometimes while riding on longer distance.

This is what she's done so far.

In a few days, I'll swing by and put the seat on to see if any adjustment will be needed before she proceed with custom upholstery.

She will be doing the complete visual design from her idea. I won't see any of the process until it's ready for the reveal and I'll check it out in person.

She does good work. I have not seen anything she has done in person, but from all the pictures I have seen on one of my Facebook groups, her work looks excellent. She is highly recommended.

Can she install a battery operated vibrating device so you can get the Magic Fingers treatment while you ride?

Does she take exact measurements, and if so, could you describe the measuring process?

My bike at almost precisely 4200RPM has a vibration right on the underside of my nutsack. I sh*t you not. No other RPM but right about there consistently .. right under the nuts.

I will let you figure out what cruising RPM I generally use

Absolutely. You will need to click on the photos for higher resolution.
She does excellent work. Like a holster maker who lurks around here....

I, too, will say that Holly has nothing but AMAZING reviews in the FB groups I'm in. She seems to be the number one choice when it comes to upholstery work here in the Valley. I actually need to get a few of my seats done up by her, just haven't had the funds lately. Definitely looking forward to what she can do for me, though!

I have no idea what Magic Finger treatment is.

I do no know anything of her work other than she takes great pride and intensity into it like local gunsmiths.

I was wondering if anyone would've recognized her work without me mentioning her. Truly good at what she does.

Whoops, I forgot to update.

New seat is absolutely an improvement! I did a mini road trip, 7 hours, my ass felt like we rode for 1 hour.

I'm ready for upcoming 12 hour ride. 8-)

Spec to what I can remember

Partial top foam removed

Widen foam, added foam on front, and trimmed thinner on the knee riding part(front/by gas tank)

Soft foam added on top of the widen foam(definitely helps)

Passenger seat was trimmed, added parts of foam(higher than stock) and a "back rest"

Grip texture on top of riding/passenger seat only, not the side. Easy to move side to side but don't slide up front when braking hard.
