It hit the news that she shot a shoplifer and was arrested. Can any Law Enforcement people explain why she was arrested?

I'm not in LE, but...it strikes me that shoplifting does not rise to the level of requiring the use of deadly force. That's just my initial thoughts...

This right here is why people need to take CCW classes. You can't shoot someone for shoplifting from a damned Circle K.

I seem to remember something about Gates Pass in Tucson many years ago that the exact thing happened. It was drugs not a 7-11/ Circle K. But that may be something I am foggy on anymore
But my Dad said that I always asked thought provoking questions.
