Want to know a great way to avoid being accidentally shot by a police officer who can't tell the difference between a Taser and a Glock during a traffic stop? Follow commands and don't try to run away. Works 100% of the time.

That didn't work so well for the man killed by cops in the hotel in Mesa. He was laying face down on the floor with his arms stretched out showing empty hands to the cop that shot him in the back with the AR15 from 10 feet away. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Daniel_Shaver)

Never involved a Taser. Different situation. Besides, Shaver was white, so no one in media cares.

I'm surprised that no one has tuned up that ex cop yet.

Might have to build a separate prison for all these cops being held accountable for killing people.

I would have cleared her but ONLY because the turd got back in his car and tried to leave. If it was outside the car I would have found her guilty. All this over a air freshener hanging from a mirror?

Yep, friggin' road pirates, always looking to make someone a criminal.

Wrongful, unjustified shooting, BUT
The meme about the "air freshener" is fake news/CNN-NYT bulls___, right up there with "Kyle Rittenhouse is a white supremacist who took his illegally owned gun across state lines."

Wright was stopped for driving with expired license plate tags. He didn’t have car insurance. He also didn’t have a driver’s license. (And yes, white people are busted for these infractions all the time.)

When the officers ran his name, they discovered that Wright was driving on a suspended license, there was a restraining order against him, and a bench warrant for his arrest on a weapons charge. They had no choice: They had to arrest him.
On the other hand, the Times has run 16 articles about Wright’s … air freshener! (E.g.: “How a Common Air Freshener Can Result in a High-Stakes Traffic Stop”). That’s 16 more than all its articles on Hunter Biden’s laptop!

What is the Times talking about? It seems that, immediately after the shooting, Wright’s mother told the media that he’d been stopped merely for having an air freshener hanging from his rearview mirror — AND NOW HE WAS DEAD!

That’s completely untrue, but it’s the story the Times is going with. No new information will be allowed to penetrate the paper’s BLM cocoon.
Please don't perpetuate the left's narrative.

There was no reasonable cause to stop him other than. Stops for minor traffic infractions results in more arrests than you can even believe, it's piracy, period.

I don't know. I have been stopped for expired license plates. That seems like a valid reason for a stop to me, but what do I know? I produced a valid driver's license, valid insurance, and valid registration. They ran my ID through their computer, and came up with no warrants for my arrest, so I went on my way. Maybe it was because of my white privilege, or maybe it was because I had license, insurance and registration, and no outstanding arrest warrants.

Either way, Daunte Wright was not stopped for an air freshener, so let's let go of the air freshener thing.

Regardless if it was "expired tags", that in itself is state piracy on the citizens, and the cops are the pirates. The "correct" thing to do is to call it in, and have the DMV send a notice with a fine, but, see, then the cops wouldn't have things to do if they didn't pull people over all the time for stupid s*it and cost citizens even more dollars, and make small time arrests for other stupid s*it.

LE today is a racket, and all involved should be charged under the Federal RICO act.

I get it. Cops him bad.

But, can we agree that the "air freshener" story is not true?

Please let's not perpetuate the left's air freshener story.

If they were going to stop air freshner users maybe they did actually did that once, now it is the defacto b.s.
