Was there at about 4pm and this was still on the shelf. Likely will still be there when they open tomorrow.

They were unpacking a powder shipment. Ramshot powders. I grabbed a 4 lbs. keg of Zip. Price currently is about $40 per lb.

What sucks is when I started loading, primers were about 0.89 per 100.

It’s hard to believe $100 per 1000.
And yes I’ve seen the even higher prices online. Reloading used to be so cheap.

Sure, I started loading in ‘75

Twenty years before that, it was a lot cheaper.

It wasn't even that long ago we were still paying $15.50/K.

I was pretty grouchy when the went past $30/K.

No way would I pay $100.00 for 1000 primers. I was smart enough to stock up years past, as I knew this would eventually happen. Though this may look like the new normal. I fear supply and prices will never come back.

This isn't the new normal, this is the 4th time it's happened in my lifetime. It'll come back in 6 months to a year.

It's already been a year and they keep going up. :angry-banghead:

It would have already stopped if Bidet hadn't been elected, and that ran it out another 6 months to a year.

That's still an awful empty looking shelf. Seems like a long long time since they had any normal .223 bullets. And their website has been shut down "for a few days" for a good while. Hope they make it. I think 6 months to a year is probably optimistic.

$100 is not as insane as some prices have been. Maybe we're in the stabilization phase, hopefully leading to the coast down phase. Hey, there's more on the shelf than the previous pic, maybe the "panic" is subsiding.

The spokesperson from Vista Outdoors (owner of CCI) said that ALL primer production was going straight to ammo manufacturing. I'd bet that Bruno's is selling primers and powder that they held back from selling earlier thinking that they'd be able to sell it for more money later as the shortage intensifies.

there is a tad amount trickling in to some vendors, not much but a case or two does arrive and gone in no time, absolutely no volume of items, enough to keep one hoping
