Well, we did it! Welcome to the NEW ArizonaShooting.org web site and forum! The features on the new forum have been reasonably tested before making this site live and cutting over DNS, but if you do find an issue, something that doesn't work or is broken, please let us know in this thread: https://www.arizonashooting.org/threads/post-migration-issues.23931/
A few notes on the migration:
Uh oh... I said "Classified Ads". That's been a point of contention for a long time on AZS. I won't ever please everyone and I have spent way more time thinking about it than I probably should have, but here's where we've landed:
Remember that the intent of this board and online community is the same as the original one I set up over two decades ago, which is to have a tight-knit community who 'know' each other whether virtually or personally, and share a love of this great state, firearms, 2A, and freedom - not random/anonymous people just dropping in to stir a pot or flip guns.
Lastly, and most importantly, I want to thank everyone who has donated to this site to support it and continues to do so. Some of you are new supporters and some of you have donated for many years. This site simply would not exist without your support and I really appreciate your help so I can keeping it running! Thank you!

A few notes on the migration:
- Some topics have pics with broken links. That was not due to the migration, but was because they picture they reference doesn't exist anymore. (example: someone posted a pic from an imgur link that has since been deleted) The old forum just ignored those, this forum puts a red "X". It's as designed, and you will mostly see that in old posts.
- Some topics and posts will contain content that is no longer relevant to the new board. I've gone through to remove much of that, but on occasion, you may find something old. Just disregard it - it's not worth the time to go through old threads with buried irrelevant content to remove it. ie, questions around classified access, post count, forum activity, how to post pics, etc.
- Forum feedback has not been moved over and likely will not be. I am looking into a new system for forum feedback. This will come soon.
- Things may be tweaked/updated/modified over the next few weeks as we use the new forums. If there are any major impacting changes, I will mention them, otherwise you might just notice some small things get changed on occasion as we settle into the new forums.
- The site is now protected by a CloudFlare WAF which means we are much better protected from bots hammering and slowing the site, as well as from malicious endpoints originating in other countries. Performance should be much better and spammers should be even less.
- New features aplenty. There are a TON of new features here. Way too many to list. Here's a link to a topic where you can mention new features you find helpful or useful to make others aware: https://www.arizonashooting.org/threads/new-features-in-the-new-forum.23930/
- Some examples:
- Multi-factor authentication/Passkeys
- Dedicated mobile site (works better on a phone)
- Light/dark settings
- Post/thread reactions
- Event Calendar
- Dedicated Classified Ads with prefixes and "SOLD" button

- Site supporters will have no restrictions on Classifieds.
- Unregistered users/guests (meaning, people browsing the site without an account or those not logged in) will see that classifieds ads exist and will see the subject of the posts, but not the content.
- Newly registered users (users who have an account that is less than a week old and has less than 10 posts) will be able to see the Classified Ads, the topics AND the content of posts (including pictures) when logged in, but cannot reply or DM users until they have been around for a week or and have at least 10 posts. Access after that is automatic.
