The hero is a 22-year-old man who had a legal permit and is cooperating with the police.

That's a good sign (if the report is accurate). Gangbangers don't usually have permits.

I can't recall where I read it this morning, but supposedly he was packing a Glock chambered in .357SIG

To me, that indicates he is not a novice shooter and likely a pistolero like one of us. Perhaps an IDPA competitor on occasion like many of us? I have nothing to back that up, but its just a sense I have of this.

In the video at the bottom of the page, the officer states the murderer went to the range to practice shooting for the last couple years ....... like that is relevant to the story!
