M1a bipod

If you could find one, the rare bipod intended for the M-15 version of the M-14 attached to the gas plug. A buddy overseas scrounged one up along with a couple selector levers we installed.

IIRC, the bipod could rotate nicely. Doubt those are to be found these days, but it was a nice part.

In case you haven't found anything yet what you want is a harris 6-9" and then mount a stud somewhere on your stock.

Cannot swear this is what my buddy had in 1967, but claims it is NOS mil-spec.

I would recommend the GG&G Heavy Duty Bipod model GGG-1245 and a sling swivel rail adaptor works great

WOW! those look well made... and they better be - with the price... :-)

Any recommendations for a bipod ? My M1a has an archangel or black(something) stock not original wood

Pretty sure min has a sling-swivel mount and a Harris BR bipod on it. I'll try to get pics and parts when I get home tonight.

They really are worth the cash. Extremely nice bipods and made locally in Tucson

I use this VLTOR railed sling mount with a bipod adaptor on the bottom to mount my Harris bipod on my M1a. It has served me well for many years.

I also have the GG&G heavy on my M14. Well made and versatile. Can't go wrong!

I've had both the GG&G an an original M15 Bipod. IF you can't find an original I agree the GG&G as described above works well.
