So I have an AR platform 6.5 Grendel with a 20". Looking for recommendations for decent bipod. Not looking to break the bank but don't want it to not do it's job.

If weight is not a concern I would recommend a Harris bipod.

I second that. I think the harris bipods are a good value considering the excellent quality.

Harris is the way to go. They last forever too. I have tried the Harris knockoff and they are just not the same. However, I just got a Magpul bipod but I have not tested it much yet.

Harris. Atlas if you want to spend money.

Maybe a Magpul. I haven't been too impressed by the Magpul I have...flexes too much.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will mostly be shooting from a proned position. I'm thinking the Harris is probably the way to go. The Magpul looks nice but a lot of reviews of flex. I know that Magpul says that it designed so that you can load it up when shooting but the reviews are pretty mixed. Thanks again for the help.

If you haven't purchased yet, this site has a pretty decent deal.

I've been using Harris for about 25 years and recently I wanted to add 1 or 2 more to my gear... I looked at the offerings and saw that Atlas is the cats meow but way out of my price range... I then went to stores and gun-shows to see what the other products looked like and cam e away disappointed... They might look OK but when you inspect their construction and engineering design... well they just don't make the grade...Harris is still the best choice for me.

I like Atlas good stuff and a good company. Harris is ok too and cheaper. I wouldn't get a knock-off or anything cheaper. I ran atlas for years in match and they still look almost brand new.

FYI: harrisbipods.com is not actually Harris Bipod the manufacturer. They are cyber-squatters and stole the domain from the company that actually makes them...

I have always had Harris bipods in the past, but I just picked up a couple of Versa-Pods this past week. They tend to be a little pricier, but I scored some amazing deals on Ebay. Definitely a step up in my opinion.

I used to be Harris only, just for the bang for the buck.
A got a second hand Atlas for not too much one time ... my next bipod after that was also an Atlas.
Take that for whatever you like.
Atlas makes good stuff and will last a long time.

I have an original Atlas on a Steyr SSG69, and found this copy on eBay: 353016552179

I bought one of them for a Ruger Preditor, and it was under $40 shipped and is really hard to see or feel any difference.

The Harris works, but I just can't warm to all the springs and complex bits.

have you looked at grip-pods?

we had those in the middle east, and I have had good luck with them.

Have owned GG&G, Harris and Atlas.
The Atlas is built like a tank and will outlast the shooter. But you are adding some decent weight to the rifle. Plus, they aren't cheap.
The Harris is the best all around bipod and much better for the cost conscious.
GG&G I sold. No real issues structurally, but I didn't like it as much as the others.
