They also make a great nib coated trigger, feels like everything has been polished.
Everybody has their own definition of break the bank though.
For a drop in, nobody has mentioned Velocity, the brother that helped start Timney went off on his own and makes an excellent AR trigger for about $150. He makes others too, He gave me a tour of the place when he invited me to come up so he could look at a trigger I messed up all by myself with loctite. He replaced it anyways, and told one of the guys to install it!!, and loves to talk, he told me he doesn't believe that triggers should be that expensive, and at another point in the conversation said he woould never work with his brother again....I didn't pry.

Looks like the Larue MBT-2S is at around $80 right now and has excellent reviews. Thanks for the tip guys. It is the front runner so far.

Hard to beat that. I can't stand single stage triggers, and a 2-stage at under $100 is a deal

I have a stock palmetto trigger you can have if you just want a good stock trigger.

I replaced it wit their flat match grade trigger and it rivals timney or gissele I have had in any of my match ar15s and at a decent price

I just installed the same trigger in my 24" precision build. It feels really good. Looking forward to shooting it this weekend.

1st AR build? Gonna save you a bunch of time and $ (personal experience the hard expensive way). Just grab a UUkit (assembled $0 or unassembled) and a stripped lower from Larue Tactical - 7075 billet goodness. It is virtually impossible to (1st) build a more accurate gas gun for $992 + s/h. IIRC, AR-10 kit is ~$300 more... There is likely a wait, but it is SO worth it. Guaranteed 0 buyer remorse. Most accurate AR in my safe. While you're at it pick up an LT204 mount, QD brick shithouse.

Just earlier today I ordered a Rise Armament Rave 140 drop in trigger for mine. It has some great reviews. I figure I'll add an ambi safety selector while i'm under the hood.

I have several Rise triggers. Not too expensive and have great crisp pull to them. Ive used them in everything from standard 223 up to my 308 and 6.5.

I did have a Triggertech in my 338 bolt gun that was like glass though. Great triggers.

I’ve always like Velocity Triggers. They are drop-in and think work great. Made right here in Phoenix. The owner Jim is a great guy too.
Last I checked they had 4lb pulls in stock and 3lb out.
