Liberal hate patriotic fireworks

I love it! Does anyone else think that these crazy lefties almost act demon-possessed? It's like some evil is rising up inside of them when they're presented with truth or goodness.

Actually...the weeks and weeks of nearly unrelenting fireworks *does* become rather tiresome. I can't even hear my television in my own house, and my dog is terrified by the constant noise.

And, it's not just the 4th of July...Christmas, New Years, whenever a local team wins, or the Mexican Soccer team wins. Birthdays, weddings, etc...all bring about loud music, fireworks, and celebratory gunfire.

Some of y'all would have possibly hated the neighborhood I lived in for four years on Oahu.

The heavily Asian folks love fireworks (they invented the shiite after all) and NY, Tet, and the 4th were intense events.

One NY looked like WWIII was going on, what with all the rockets and such flying around. Like those films of Bahgdad.

The smoke was at least swept away by the trade winds. That fat Karen would have had an embolism.

My cats at the time, at least the crazy Siamese, loved it. He sat at a front window watching the local kids go to war in the street. These days where i live, it is mostly a ways off, and I am so deaf it is not enough to wake me up at midnight.

My dog older, got so panicked she could not be saved at the emergency vet hospital. Old dog has heart attack just going to be some time before I enjoy them again.

I grew up on Oahu, and left after 29 years. As a kid, my favorite day of the year was January 1. I would wake up early and scour the neighborhood for unexploded ordnance, save up the unburnt powder, and make my own fireworks. Woke up all the hungover adults at 530AM and its a miracle I still have all ten fingers!

My neighborhood in Surprise had a very large unorganized fireworks display. Started around 9 PM ended after 10:15 PM. Cool.

My dog must be a liberal, because he hates fireworks. Was freaking the hell out the other night. Never thought I'd do this, but might have to ask the vet about some doggie valium. My poor little buddy's heart was racing and not much I could do to console him. July 4th & New Years, it would be nice to just give him a chill pill.

Most all pets are liberals. They want a free place to stay, free food, free toys, free healthcare, and you pick up after them. All while coddling them, and telling them everything will be fine....

I give my dogs Tramadol. Chills them out.

I'll have to do some research. It's only one of my dogs who is a stress-ball. The other is so laid back & couldn't care less about loud noises.

I love blowing off fireworks and so do the kids, the bigger the better but gotta be smart and respectful of your neighbors. It does get a bit annoying when you hear the random motar go off at 2 am that some drunk fool decided was a good idea. I dont trust lighting off motars in my neighborhood so we stick to the small stuff and do it just after sun down. I do say I have been seeing much more motars flying in recent years tho. They can be sketch and have seen plenty go off sideways that I wouldnt want to do it near houses

Our dogs dont give a sh*t really, but I know others that do and they take the appropriate precautions to calm their pets.

12/31/20 drove a group to 43 Av & Indian School strip club, all points of the compass from 1130 to 1230 freakin mortars EVERYWHERE every 5 seconds full tilt and smoke as thick as a morning fog. Coulda been in Beirut, it was nucking futs. Maryvale loves its fireworks...

Yeah man right there. "Gotta be smart and respectful of your neighbors". That's the key. If I know people are partying and having a good time then I don't mind. It's just as you said the random 1-2am fireworks going off that you aren't too sure if they are gunshots from a distance that causes you to jolt right out of bed and pretty much ruins your night of sleep.
