A very public assassination, with any sort of targeted firearm (EBR, scoped "sniper" rifle, anything with a mag capacity of greater than 10 rounds), would not only eliminate Sleepy Joe, but would create the perfect opportunity for a massive gun control bill. The aide explained that Biden had just said it in a public speech a couple of weeks earlier.
