Kyle - is out on bail

Great news!

Now when is somebody going to arrest "Lefty" for being a felon in possession and aggravated assault?

It's great news but shoot ... I am very disappointed in the system yet again.

2 million bail!? WTF

It's not supposed to be political. Justice is supposed to be blind.

I think I liked it better when I worked 60 hrs a week and didn't have time to notice how unequal equal was. :(

Flight risk? Where is a somewhat doughy, naive, very young white boy from Wisconsin going to go? Cuba? Belize? Venezuela? Just stupid. He was still living at home. His mom probably still buys his clothes but he is suddenly going to be an international fugitive.

First thing he did was try and turn himself in. Second thing was run home to momma. Oh but now he might hop a plane to kazakhstan
Just effed up.

Agreed - the whole thing is so unjust it makes me sick, Kyle survived a mob attack and acted in self defense.

So all this bail came from website? Maybe it is just t.v. don't they (bailbonds) pay 10% 200K but if you disappear the remainder is due.

You pay the bail bondsman a non refundable 10% of the bond ( that he keeps ) plus collateral for the rest.
They then put up the bond for you.
If you run they send the bounty hunter after you.

One of the main things that BLM/antifa is promoting is getting rid of bail, which "punishes the poor."
I wonder if they feel the same way about Rittenhouse. They are all about "justice" and bail is unjust per se, they say.

I have read that some celebrity types put up significant bucks towards the bail. I specifically recall the name Rick (formerly Ricky) Schroder. Naturally, the comsymps are outraged. (They are always outraged; outrage is what they do. Must get tiring.) But they are not outraged when Joe Biden/Kommiela Harris and their enablers donate money to bail out BLM/antifa thugs.

The cancel culture who obviously would never buy a BRCC product, has gone full false narrative because of the shirt Kyle was wearing after release that BRCC had nothing to do with.

I plan on buying a shirt now just to show support for the BRCC and a F Y to the leftards just to show that they are not our supervisors.
BRCC wants nothing to do with Rittenhouse.

That's not what BRCC said:

“We do not sponsor nor do we have a relationship with the 17-year-old facing charges in Kenosha, WI.”

EDIT - after reading it again. It seems like they do want to distance themselves from the kid.

I didn't say that at all, I saw their response earlier and they said exactly what you had just posted.

Was not responding to your comment.

Flight risk or not $2 million bail doesn't seem out of line when you consider the gravity of the crimes he is accused of. He was able to get out jail so good for him. I'm not sure he's going to get off Scott free. All these people running around at night during a curfew were looking for trouble including Kyle Rittenhouse

My post was about equality and fairness as opposed to judgment based on emotion or agenda.

A typical bail for premeditated murder is no more than 1 million.

If we guess at the charges he will face it would be more in line with voluntary man slaughter. Typically your looking at 100,000.

I am NOT a gambler but I would lay $10 that the gang bangers in the major cities are not facing 2 million bail after committing a drive-by.

When considering bail there are a few concerns. Flight risk and retribution are at the top of the list. I don't think either is a concern with Kyle.

Notice .. I am not addressing his guilt or innocence. You obviously have your opinion and mine differs.

I am only calling out equal fair treatment and the fact he is not receiving it.

His bail was set at 2 million for one reason only. So he could start serving a sentence for a crime he has as of yet not been convicted of.

Kyle Rittenhouse is charged with 2 counts of 1st degree murder and 1 count of attempted murder plus lesser charges. Like you said premeditated murder 1 mil x2= $2 mil.
Maybe they were trying to make an example of him.
He may get off with self defense for the murder and attempted murder charges but he'll get convicted on the weapons charges

He will have to pay some dues on the gun purchase but I am fairly sure, though can't swear, that the bail is not cumulative.

I am not a lawyer but I am pretty sure it is not "1 million a head" and there is no hard rule on what a judge has to pose as bail on murder. It could have been more and it could have been less.

This was politics and not justice or a concern that he was a flight risk or that he would upon release lay vengeance on the miscreants families.

Charging him with 1st degree murder is also an inequity and a travesty and will NEVER hold up.

Whatever your feelings about the appropriateness of him being there .. the kid is getting screwed and I am glad he is getting a hand.

It's good that they overcharged him as they'll never get a conviction for Murder 1.

I am hoping that his jury is filled with at least some thoughtful people who can think independently and can see the Murder 1 charge for what it is. An unfair hit job.

Lie to me once and everything you say after is suspect.
