Another Frys manager has said not happening and they would be crazy if they tried it. Another Walmart friend has said they are going masks everywhere even if there are no cases of it and said was not told anything about armed men keeping people out. Mail in ballots aren't a problem necessarily the problem is changing the rules at the 11th hour. In that I agree with you that it will be a problem. Many people will have their ballots denied for being filled out incorrectly, for being delayed through no fault of their own, and lastly because of the potential for manipulation. The most recent story was a postal worker filling peoples out as republican. When people use slippery slope arguments about firearms do you give those credit? If the answer is no, then you have some understanding of why some of the people on the forum might see you're reasoning as being similar. What about this, then this, then this and finally this. What am I gonna do about increased testing? Take the data in. I'm not a manufacturer of these tests, I'm not the person overseeing the counting, I'm not even the person administering them. It's just as likely that the data is true as it is false from my point of view. Do you have inside knowledge? If so please share by linking and citing sources. (I'm assuming you actually fall under the ADA) I've always been of the opinion that if I'm to be de-fanged and declawed when entering an establishment they should provide some sort of sheep dog to assist me in my temporary transformation into a sheep. I hate the mask thing as well and disagree with the requirements to wear them. It should be a personal choice not a mandate, like was talked about what if you have a legit reason you cant wear one? you should have the choice to not wear one rather then be forced to. Problem is too many people have fallen into the belief of mandates.

On the other hand I look at it as the same reason I dont open carry everywhere I go. I want to blend in and not rock the boat just to get damn grocery's. We do grocery pickup and delivery whenever possible and avoid going into the store at all just to avoid the mask bs. If I gotta run in to grab booze and a steak then I stick a mask on for the 10mins Im going to be in there to avoid having to deal with Karens or some asshat manager. Does it make it right? maybe not but I dont seem to think this is a battle worth trying to stand your ground by yourself at the front of the store to some poor employee that cant do anything about it anyway.

Since you're making multiple posts on the forum about getting groceries. If you live in the valley metro area. I'm gonna extend my hand out and offer to venture into these dens of inequity were one is forced to wear a mask and acquire them for you. I can't make this a habit so it's a one time offer. I'm free most weekends. You provide the funds to purchase them. You can wait in your vehicle for me to go in and purchase the items with your funds so you don't have to worry about wackos on the internet knowing where you live. I recommend pre-loading one of those prepaid card deals. I'll make sure I get a receipt and we can even go over the items individually to make sure you're not being stiffed/short changed.

It's not my right to demand private individual or businesses kowtow to me. In so much as the effectiveness of mask wearing for those cited examples I mentioned. I'm not a doctor, medical historian, or professional shaman. However, from historical sources I can deduce (not believe). That poor management of (containment/denial) of the disease was a key factor to the Spanish flu spreading. (China anyone?) With regards to Polio identifying the method of transmission took a long time. Tools were not as sophisticated back then so in the face of an unknown my assumption is they chose to mitigate it at all possible fronts. I don't know about you but when faced with a problem I try to take some action instead of throwing my hands up in the air and quitting. Perhaps that was their thought process. Already said that people from frys have said it is not happening. Still don't know if they will let me in again but I only shop there when steaks are on sale or prime rib roasts then I buy them out.

I saw how bad it was for them as I drove them to their doctors and picked up their drugs for them until he died and she moved back with family. Means a lot in this day to hear someone offer to help.

As for businesses the only two that I think can even restrict entry is Sams and Costco since they are a club. The rest are open to the public without membership and should follow the exemption in the damn mandates which is why they are there.

Between the restrictions/fear this is adversely affecting the elderly and infirm. On that I agree with you 100 percent. I'm not a civil rights lawyer (or a lawyer at all for that matter) so I'm not sure that requiring a mask would violate anyone's rights any more than asking someone to wear shirts and shoes. At the end of the day if they offer an alternative I think this is all the ADA requires. It is not specific about what constitutes a valid alternative in regards to this matter(maybe it is but I'm no expert). That is probably another discussion all together. However you did bring up a good point. Perhaps a thread should be started for those who can't drive to a million places or quickly run in and out places. Members could choose to post dates, times, and regions of availability to assist others. Not everyone has a huge network of support (or even a small one). Are their existing volunteer organizations for that sort of thing? Perhaps linking them might help. Many of these posts have devolved into some sort of dismissive vitriol or but hitler statements. Another idea would be to maybe crowd source some sort of thread or document (I hate spreadsheets but they may be appropriate here) Where people can simply post/update the following Does the business require a mask? Is traffic limited and if so by how much? Is the business appointment only now? This would make it useful to both the pro and anti maskers. I think something similar was available on the old forum in regards to pro 2a or anti 2a establishments.

Been reading and debating on posting....

Personally the I cannot breathe in xxxx is invalid. How do I know this? I have activity induced asthma which was a gift left from a severe case of valley fever. Why is this important to this post? Breathing through one of the "medical" masks induces strain which causes asthma attacks for me.

I get around that by using one of the nylon gaiter type masks which I can say for sure do not induce that problem as I am having to wear one during a quite physical two hours of physical therapy for my back injury surgery and as easy as it is for me to induce an attack i have yet over the course of several weeks, 2x a week 2hrs a time to have an attack induced by the mask.

If your breathing is worse likely you are on a portable oxygen tank in which case your oxygen is being delivered by hose right into your nose or mouth and can easily be covered by a mask with no problems.

While I do not know if masks of any sort are effective or not while there are medical arguments against there are enough medical arguments for them to make it worth a look.

As far as your individual rights, wal mart, target, frys etc requiring you wear them in no way violates your civil rights... maybe if they said only people with purple hair and green eyes have to wear them and no one else did you would have an argument. Unfortunately in this case they are requiring it of everyone so that argument is moot.

Second, it is private property. They can set whatever equitable rules they desire for you to enter or remain on their property, in fact you violating those rules could actually be construed as trespass if they wanted to push it.

I believe myself to be a major defender of your rights from the marine corps to peace officer the majority of my adult life has been spent in service and while i dont know if masks help or not I know if there is one iota of a chance I can avoid catching and giving my toddler grandchildren or the grandchild waiting to be born any virus i am willing to try it.

I can understand not liking masks and not liking being told what to do, we are Americans. We don't like anyone telling us what to do. But it is not violating your rights.

And as mentioned they have options other than going in.
