The Constitution says the right to bear arms "shall not be infringed", under my leadership it will not be. Period!
What we need to do is fully enforce the laws we already have on the books so that those individuals who, due to criminal conviction or diagnosed mental illness, are already prohibited from possessing deadly weapons cannot obtain them, and are aggressively prosecuted when they do and then commit another crime. The sad truth is that a significant portion of crime in America, including violent crime involving weapons, is committed by a small, dedicated number of repeat criminal offenders. Recent progressive "reforms" have resulted in an explosion of violent crime, robberies, assaults, and shootings as criminals no longer fear the consequences of their actions. The way to reduce violence involving weapons, including mass shootings, in this country is very simple: focus on criminals, not law-abiding Second Amendment supporters. Second, we need to take a serious look at mental health treatment, the laws overseeing that treatment, and the resources we dedicate to individuals suffering from mental health crises."
Call it a lie, call it what you will, but it s a lot less "wordsmithed" and "politi-speak" than any of the other candidates running for any office.

Kari Lake just had a great appearance on Tim Pool IRL. It's about 2 hours, and she gets into her policy positions quite a bit. I have to say, after hearing her in a long form discussion like this, I'm liking her more and more.

People need to stop calling evil behavior mental health.
If you feel the need to shoot and kill innocent people because you are mad at the world, you are not mentally ill. you are f***ing evil and deserve to swing from a treen in town square and be left there as a reminder.

I like a lot of what she's saying, but you normally hear her in short bursts. She tends to come across as a little fake and overproduced with her news anchor voice, but I feel like she seemed more believable when you hear her over the course of a long-form interview.
