Just cause your Jeep has a roll cage don't mean it can roll

Just fast forward to 3:15 minutes and prepare for butt-clenching.

scarey shiat for sure, did four full rolls in my tj in moab, on rock, pretty much trashed my full cage, i was beat to raw meat, was in a full harness in cluding sub harness, me family jewels were bruised for long time. still have jeep, buncha new parts, needless to say am a little more careful, mine was caused by a spool that broke and caused one side to twist me around, almost pulled it outta the first roll, group watching said it was like watching slow motion as it started, stopped, then slowly continued on.
last big time high rated trail that i took, stuck to short crawls and roads, too old to take a beating

Holy shit .. I cant believe anyone lived. Not only did they roll down the hill on the right but the drop off on the left which we couldn't see looked like a 10 story drop!!
I wonder how long they kept rolling after it went off camera. Jeez

I’ve seen that, it was a hell of a roll and they are lucky to have survived that! Have hard friends experience something similar but stayed in the vehicle for the whole thing. The seat back broke and laid them back as the roof crushed in(no cage) he sold the wreckage and never drove in the dirt again.

I’ve hard some hard rolls on the rocks but nothing like that. As with anything there are inherent risks and you have to be aware of them. Full harness and even helmets are a must for some trails but even an easy trail can get you in trouble in a hurry.

And how about the guy with the dashcam? If he had been a few yards forward, a Jeep would have landed on his head, and helmet and seat belts would not have done a lot of good.
Good luck is a good thing.

Btw, this is just the switchbacks they were on.

Saw this last year.
There was another video where they interviewed the owner of the Jeep that rolled and he claims he parked it and was walking away. Probably left it in neutral and didn't set the parking brake. The girl was ejected early up, the dog was thought to be dead but showed up later unscathed.

FYI
Insurance doesn't cover off road damages..... OOPS
