Congressional subpoenas for every single one of them, and then when they try in invoke the 5th or fail to answer questions, hit with with contempt of congress charges (12 month jail time is the max sentence).

Unfortunately, my personal friend, Ed Vallejo, who completely served his sentence already and has been home now for a few months wearing an ankle monitor, is one of those who only received commutation. That just feels very unsubstantial since it comes too late. However, we are hopeful that further investigation by the Trump team will take notice and determine he further warrants a pardon.

With 1500 pardons, and only a handful of commutations, what was your friend convicted of?

Aware of the history of the Bonus Army marchers in 1932, Ed felt the protest might turn into something longer term than a single day, and he decided to pre-position outside D.C. with some field kitchen and medical aid gear. If he got word from Oathkeepers at the event that it was to become an encampment, Ed was prepared to bring in that gear to support the effort. However, another fellow who convoyed out to Virginia as well, decided to bring a stockpile of weaponry and ammo in case the feds got abusive and "defensive measures" were needed. He and Ed stayed at the same hotel. As the other guy was bring in cased weapons to the hotel rather than leave them out in the truck, video shows Ed held the door open for him. Ed also brought in his own gear and supplies from his truck so they wouldn't be stolen. They were all in sealed transport bins. The FBI claimed that Ed was involved in a conspiracy with the other fellow to illegally import the weapons to D.C. "in furtherance of civil disorder", and they also claimed his bins had weapons and ammo, not food and first aid. None of that was actually supported in any way by any of the evidence. The most the FBI could prove is that Ed held the door for the guy as he entered the hotel. Nothing more. But you can imagine the types of useful idiots the jury was populated by. They would have convicted Jesus Christ.
