Now with all of the non-Glock clones, it's official. It's entered the realm of
iconic military contract pistols that are so popular/respected as to be
routinely knocked-off, or outright cloned.

Luger
P35
Cz75
Glock

Am I missing a pistol, or does that seem about right?

All of those guns have been copied because either the international patent expired decades ago, or the design was licensed to other mfgs...

The Glock international patent just expired a few years ago...it is yet to be seen how many companies will have success copying the design. A few companies are doing so (Palmetto's Dagger pistol is a Gen 3 Glock 19 clone) not very many other companies are bringing clone pistols to market. Zev seems to be the only Glock clone I have seen in a gun shop.

Also, the Beretta M9 seems to be copied often (Taurus PT92, Girsan Regard, American Tactical C92). I think the Beretta has more successful clones than Glock does.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

I watch a lot of movies .. I think the M9 is in every prop shop. Damn thing is everywhere.

Interested ... would this make the list

From what I recalled, the 92 was an evolution of their earlier model/s for the commercial market.
Not outright designed for a mil-contract, though certainly adopted thereafter by many, as we know.

The Luger really doesn't belong on that list, its complexity and cost was its own demise and wasn't a optimal candidate for cloning. As far as I know, its toggle lock was never really used on other pistols as the Browning tilting barrel was a far simpler design

Agreed, the Luger does not belong on the list. If your criteria was simply use by a large military force, than the Japanese Nambu pistol should be on there also...but OP specified that it has to have spawned clones.
