Did I read the original post correctly?
The individual from TT stated that there was an auditor on site and in the building at the time of the meet up in their lot?

I could see him doing everything he could to limit TT’s exposure to the auditors scrutiny, as well as any perceived liability from a deal being made off the books in “his” lot.

Whether his message was delivered in a manner that people agree with doesn’t really matter. If the deal was being conducted within the area highlighted, the TT employee had every right to ask someone to leave and move the deal elsewhere.

Quit fighting over what is really a non-issue. An off-books deal was being done on private property (while the owner appears to have been going through an on site audit), and the business had every right to ask/tell the individuals (OP etc) to leave.

We were north of your yellow circle.

Just wondering if anyone has been talked to at Bass Pro? I’ve done quite a few meets there and never an issue. I arrived 20 minutes early on a Saturday afternoon and saw 3 sales while I waited.

That was their original building and I know for at least a while they had both that and the circle building.

So you were here? That would definitely be bad juju.

Yes, approximately where that white truck is parked. Again, not bad juju. If they don't want people making sales near their store, they should post something. This isn't a law.

That’s their original store location, and as far as I know they still own/lease the building.

Do you have a sign posted in your driveway telling people all the things they can’t do? Or do you just expect people to have the minimum amount of common sense to know they shouldn’t be in your driveway unless they have a legitimate reason to be at your house?

lol...

I've met quite a few of you for trades or sales at Sportsman's Warehouse's parking lot, or even in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Never had any issues.

Perhaps it's the smaller shops that don't like it?

*shrug*

I think this pretty well sums it up.

Especially when they have an audit going at the same time on the premises.

Okay, I'm changing sides on this. You definitely messed up by not parking in the Hustler lingerie lot.

How am I suppose to look inside the store and not be creepy if I'm right there in front of it?

I was thinking more of chatting up the parking lot traffic, but I'm sure you would have been able to improvise after a quick recon.

Did they ever catch the killer that murdered 2 guys selling the Playstation in the Black Anus parking lot a year ago???

Ok, so bare with me here. I've never been to Tombstone Tactical so I'm not familiar with their parking area. But the way it's described, they sit between two stores which sounds like an open parking lot for any business in the area. If that's the case, how can they claim you were in "their" parking lot and not the stores next to them. Are the parking spots marked "Tombstone Tactical?" How far away from them do you have to be before you are not in "their" parking lot?

Ok, let me ask my question in a simpler manner since no one answered the above questions. IS THIS A PRIVATE PARKING LOT FOR THIS SPECIFIC BUSINESS, OR A GENERAL PARKING AREA FOR ANY BUSINESS IN THE GENERAL AREA?

Every store in that area is going to have a specific "lot" that is covered by the lease/deed, etc. There is an invisible boundary line somewhere in that parking lot that is considered their "property".

But the actual question is "who cares?" You were asked to leave, albeit rudely. Get over it, you're an adult.

They own both buildings, so that is their lot as well. They are using the "old" building (the square one) for inventory storage and stock.

I don't see the issue with the owner telling them to do it elsewhere.

Honestly, if I was the owner / manager / whatever - I would do the same. Isn't worth the risk to the business given how the ATF operates these days. I am in that store literally weekly buying stuff or picking something up I ordered - and other than they somewhat lackadaisical urgency, haven't ever had an issue.

That answered my question. Thanks
