Been reading on the forums for as long as I have been reading forums about the impending Civil war.

I have mostly dismissed it. I still dont think we are there yet because some VERY important elements have to fall in place for something like that to happen.

Where i whole heartedly agree is that if history is an indicator we are in a period of rapid decline as a nation. It happens. Seemingly no way to avoid it. It has happened since men kept records.

Here is a gentleman that has an opinion and if nothing else ... Its fairly well presented, no screeching, interesting reading

The perfect storm may be brewing but it’s still a ways off. Better teach your kids how to speak russian and chinese before you head out to the battlefield because the invasion by one of the two won’t be far behind.

China doesnt even have the logistic support or supply chain to execute such things.

Calm down Captain Blackpill.

Yeah, I forgot about your capability to fend off anything with your 9mm. Two million enemy combatants don’t stand a chance against you, tough guy.

China (nor anyone else) doesn't need to invade us,...merely isolate us,...which they are already well on their way to doing.

That is what I think as well. Still need to learn Mandarin and or Cantonese but there is no benefit to invading us. Its better to just marginalize us and keep us as stupid consumers under their thumb. This is not an if it is a when. They are rife with natural resources.

Interesting article here
https://econintersect.com/b2evolution/blog2.php/2014/09/24/human-history-china-vs-europe

but just in case you are a person that doesnt like to read .. Here is a blurb I found interesting when you consider where we are going. I still encourage you to read the entire piece but

"China is back, thanks to a wise leader named Deng Xiaoping. Deng did two big things for China:

The widespread introduction of capitalism to China.

A new form of government. It is still strictly hierarchical, but it’s not feudalistic and the top leadership is almost guaranteed to be good. Very importantly, with the advancement of technologies, the world has become practically smaller, especially in terms of communication and transportation. As a result, the same country (or “army”) that was too big to govern before may no longer be too big! For more, read: Towards an Ideal Form of Government.

In contrast, Europe is back in trouble again, with no easy way out, thanks largely to democratic socialism.

While we are considering spending trillions of dollars on a socialist dream package, occupying our thoughts with things like the battles of how many sexes there are and what pronouns are appropriate, proper language and the rush to the new self imposed racial segregation .. The giant that is China is preparing. They are moving pieces around on the chess board and we arent even at the table to play.

Me .. not worried not concerned .. I guess its the way of the world. World powers, much like our own existence .. are born .. live x amount of years and ultimately die off. We are writing our own obituary and I dont see any way back.

China is being resurrected .. maybe death isnt forever after all.

Lol. Don't you have to go find out what your wife's boyfriend wants for dinner?

I pointed out their lack of logistical support and you're talking about me going rambo.

I think you’re having flashbacks to your marriage. Nice try though.

Right. I always ask myself, why would China want war with the nation that is making them rich beyond their dreams? They have most of our money, they have the president in their back pocket, they infected the world with a virus with total immunity. If you are Chinese, life is good. Why rock the boat?

And .. We no longer have the upper hand in projecting power. A study done during the Trump administration came right out and said .. in a state on state war we would in all likely hood lose to Russia or China. Lets not forget that their recent war games were held with elements from both countries Protecting Taiwan or Ukraine is a pipe dream. All both countries have to do is keep nibbling at the edges.

Its a little off the original topic but ..add to that a complete lack of leadership and the American people and politicians purposely and carelessly causing divisions. Riots allowed to go on with no checks ... well .. it doesn't look good.

Why invade when they have already made us subjects

And how does that continue if we’re in the midst of a full-fledged civil war?

Apparently someone doesn't know the definition of "logistics". Two million troops ain't gonna do shit if they don't have the means to get here en masse. When China starts making a bunch of troop ships and copies of C-17 aircraft then it'd be an issue. At the moment they have two options, nukes or bribes....so far the latter seems to be doing more damage

Apparently someone doesn't know the definition of "logistics". Two million troops ain't gonna do s*** if they don't have the means to get here en masse. I dont think I agree KingJoey. I think its antiquated thinking that there is a need for those types of logistical support. Especially as it relates to China. China like the Afghans are used to playing the long game. China has been around as a homogeneous people since way before the bible was written.

While some of the surface things about China has changed .. its pretty much the same people and similar society.

Should Russia and China form up .. and the recent war games are an indication they might. China has the ability to easily project to Australia and the Islands that make up Japan. Russia is 60 miles from Alaska. Should they take Ukraine .. and I predict they will, most of the eastern European countries which kind of have a love hate relationship with Russia will acquiesce quickly and western Europe's ability to defend itself is a Joke. They could effectively shorten their logistical supply lines and troop deployment needs.

Of course I am just speculating in the thread and don't know sh*t. Just kind of a history buff and avid reader but I am no military genius. What I do know is that China and the Chinese people are patient and we are no longer a country with similar values aspirations and ideals. People are saying out loud that the Flag is offensive and patriotism belongs only to white supremacists and fringe groups. Its not looking good. wont happen tomorrow or next week .. but China and Russia know how to wait it out.

Still not thinking they would invade because who wants a country full of needy whiners and scant natural resources of value. Afghanistan has resources important to the future and .. we handed it over. Any technology that can come from American companies can be bought cheap. No real reason for them to waste good money on an invasion .. wars are expensive.

Just spewing at the keyboard. Interesting to think about

Great point. With civil war, everything changes, and your guess is as good as mine on the eventual outcome.

My comment relating to China and Russia was in the context of a civil war here. Agree they have no reason to anything without it - they pillage this country just fine from afar.

They have the largest Navy in the world and the DoD evaluated their naval capabilities as being ahead of the US. Saying the largest exporter in the world, plenty of which comes here, lacks the capability to move shit around the world is just plain stupid.
