Integrated laser

So I bought the M&P shield 2.0 with integrated laser and it’s being shipped currently. I’m hearing negative things about built in lasers and if they break the whole gun has to be shipped in. Did I make a mistake? I can still return it

If the thought of being without it in case of a failure were a problem for me, I would exchange it for one without the built in laser.

I don't like lasers on firearms in general, but definitely not one that is a non-removable part of the firearm. I'd return that ASAP for a model that has a removable laser, if you are set on having a laser.

I think lasers will encourage bad habits. I have a laser grip on my LCR and I noticed it delays my shooting because I have to "hunt the laser" first. I hesitate firing until I see my laser is steady which is not practical in emergency situations.

I would agree, but it hasn’t stopped me from putting them on either.
