A lady friend has this old revolver she got from a former boyfriend. He had it in his sock drawer for decades. Nowhere on it does the caliber appear to be marked! But it does appear to be chambered in .38S&W (not .38special).

She claims it has a timing issue and needs repair. While there is no ammo with it to test fire, while simply handling it and carefully checking for lockup and all, I see no indication of timing issues.

I recall seeing these advertized as IVER JOHNSON guns in the late 70's. Did IJ simply buy out US Revolver, or are these completely different?

From what I understand US Revolver Co is IJ. Think of the sears and kmart branded guns that were marlins and such.

Gun Broker has some selling for approx. $200, in the past
