He was the keynote speaker at this year's annual banquet of the Arizona State Rifle & Pistol Association. Clearly very strongly pro-gun rights. Struck me as down to earth and squared away. IIRC, he was one of the few National Guard honchos who told the Dems to pound sand; he was not sending any Arizona troops to "protect" the Capitol.
