Looks at his left hand like it hurts but doesn't realize he no longer has a right arm below the elbow. I can swear I read once or twice not to point those things at anything you arent ready to destroy!

Any idea where and when this occurred?

Dont know where or when but I tried looking up letters that look like the ones in the bottom portion and it looks kinda like

Nepal

Thought Turkey or Greece for a minute but they have modern armies and this guy in my bigoted mind didnt seem "modern Army." The gun also looks pretty aged.

Now the words on the bottom could just be the graphic overlay from a story reported in Nepal and doesnt mean it happened to a Nepalese soldier but .. thats all I gots

A friend who Knows Things identifies the writing as Hindi. If so, then this may have happened in India. The rifle does not look like an AK or other semi-auto. Enfield maybe?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindi

Edit: On second look, def not Enfield. No bolt. Semi-auto or pump. No descending pistol grip.

I hope the shotgun is OK...

It didn't completely take his arm off...it was dangling by a thread. An above the elbow amputation the quick and easy way.
