How Do You Set Zero Stop On Gen 2 PST Vortex Viper

The manuals procedure on how to set the Viper zero stop seems rather unclear, at least to me. So what is the best procedure to use dealing with the turret steps to set the zero stop. I always start my zeroing at 25 yards then when I'm satisfied I move to 100 yards.

100 is my 0 stop on my other scopes as well. I zero at 100 then loosen the screw raise the cap and move the dial to zero. If i have to adjust generally everything is up as i use 308 and 0 to 100 its pretty level. When done i just bring it back to 0 and its ready for next time
