Was watching this to see where it ended up. Figured mid $700 and that was giving it some for the Covid clans.

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/884398255

Glock 23 gen 5

sale price 990.00
3% if the person used a CC 29.70
Shipping 35
FFL 25

Someone paid $1080 for a freagin plastic mass produced gun with a shitty trigger. Amazing

I’ve been watching a lot of different guns on gunbroker and I will tell you that 50% of the bids include NR buyers...Whatver that means 😳

NR buyers? Is that no reserve?

I am not sure but did glock just release that one in gen 5? Is there collector interest maybe. Nuts

Everything is high but that one surprised me.

LOL yeah its usually peeps that bid the item up for them, so they are actually not noobs but i guess scammers would work..heres the example glock that i was watching https://www.gunbroker.com/item/884425410 ..seller had a NR but alot of the bids did too..I woulda jumped on it but something came up and the only reason i would even bid on this is cause hes local and i know i could do a FTF and if it would have been a scam i woulda just walked away...But look at that price $505 with NO tax, ffl fee...thats a solid deal right there and theres alot out there but u have to watch for them..i will never place a bid if its out of driving distance cause thats to much of a risk...

I have never bought anything used on Gunbroker but finding local sales for used on gunbroker is good advice

I have bought a few or more New guns on gun broker and if you are willing to wait and be patient there are still good deals that fall through the cracks.

Got my M&P 2.0 40C for $425 shipped in July. Had to throw in $25 to my favorite FFL but I have come to really really like that gun and at $450 ... well .. a glock 23 at >$1000 ... doesnt look so hot.

If its a collector thing I kinda get it. I am not a collector but I can understand the fever but I figure eventually these will come out of the stratosphere and will be had for $650.

I rarely bid on auction items but on the rare chance I do .. I put a price and then just forget about it. Another one will be along shortly if I dont get the one I bid on.

I thought maybe you got the car, and the cannoli....

Common scam: Seller in cahoots with a fake "buyer" that is really seller's alternate account, but using a VPN to mask the origin. Seller bids on his own gun against other legitimate buyers. He always bids just above the next legit bidder to move the price up and up and either wins it, or cancels his highest bid at the last second so that the second place person (legit) becomes the high bidder and wins it at an inflated price. If the seller doesn't cancel the fake bidder high bid, he waits a day or two after ending and contacts the second-place person to tell them that the winner backed out for whatever reason, and the second place person can have it at his high bid price (which is inflated due to the fake winner who backed out).

Friend recently stopped by SGC and said that they were very low on stock, but could still order Glocks and have them arrive in ~2 weeks. He said prices on Glocks were between $425-500 new. Doesn't seem out of line - especially for SGC.

I saw a Glock MOS with an asking price of $1200 the other day on another forum. Scammers are looking to separate noobs from their money.

its the story of life, fools are always being separated from their money or valuables, human nature for some. ........................just don't be one of "those''

I’ve seen that before and wondered if that was what was happening. I see it on Valmet magazines, a lot. It’s nearing the ending time of the auction and then out of nowhere a new bidder is raising the price. Nobody else bids after that and the auction closes and then the next day it’s re listed.
