IF it WAS an AR15, there's NO DOUBT we'd have heard of it by now. I wonder if it's something really mundane, like a 10/22. I've also heard it described as a "high-powered rifle", but we all know how that goes with both ignorant spokespersons, and media. :roll:

I saw one report that said he had 3 guns on the roof, an AR, a shotgun, and a bolt action. If he killed anyone with a bolt action rifle, that would blunt the media brain explosions over weapons of war.

OTOH, I predict that the hoplophobes will make much hay over the name "Milltary & Police," which they will present as conclusive proof that these weapons of war are intended only for soldiers and cops, and have no place in the hands of peons. Smith & Wesson, knowing full well that the MP-15 is only for soldiers and cops, will be accused of marketing this weapon of war which has no business on our streets to fantasizing psychotic teenagers.

Normally, I'm not going to trash the parent/s, either. BUT>....there's been enough published on this miscreant and his history so as to leave one with no choice but to wonder WTF his relative/s were thinking/ :roll:

well, lets look at this from another prospective, not defending, only sharing what i've experienced with friends and their way ward children.
parents and relatives are so removed from what their child does, they make excuses ,hey ignor, they chastise, but in reality don't do much to deter the episodes some have.
i've had a couple situations with parents who did not see or ignored their issues with their child, until an outsider brings it to the table, and enough people outside the family help them thru the process of processing the kid or kids have issues.

its a parent thing, all can say, shoulda woulda coulda.

have a very good friend whos son, just a year ago decided to rough up a guy, go find a gun and come and kill the sob. known the kid since he was 4, and at 19 he destroyed not only his life, the person he killed, the witnesses who were there, and his family, father, mother and brother, all devastated,
its life baby, one does not know the ending, but we can remember the journey

Maybe its time to start holding these parents accountable for the actions of their children, especially those that aid in the purchase of a firearm or etc. I guess when you have a society full of people that raising children isn't their forte shouldn't reproduce in the first place, leaves the rest of us to deal with these psycho's day in and day out

he was an adult, when or if you have adult children take a look at it. not all is as it seems, adults make decisions same as underdeveloped individuals, whos responsible then the grandparents
the community, the church, hell how about the thrift store mgr.
