I usually use the same powder for 9mm/45ACP/38spl. Normally I load 1-2K rounds at a time. I usually shoot once a week.
Normally I take 2 centerfire pistols, a rimfire, and a rifle. Shoot in the desert for around 2 hours.
I dunno. never done the math. I spend way too much of that time looking for brass in the bushes and not enough trigger time.
The thing is, I don't enjoy reloading much after the first ten rounds. It becomes boring and too repetitive, so every time I squeeze the trigger, I know thats another piece of brass to hunt down, tumble, and reload again.
So, yeah, I guess I need to shoot more and maybe get more drunk to enjoy reloading more. Beer definitely helps relieve the boredom, especially if I'm watching YouTube videos.
At least until I pass out.
So, I guess the takeaway from all this is that I'm 61 and 22lr is more enjoyable to shoot than ever before. Reloading lost its charm 30 years ago for me.
And GROAN... :confusion-shrug: . I'm looking at a huge pile of 5.56 brass getting bigger and bigger every week, taunting me, teasing me, knowing I'll have to reload it SOME DAY.
