Ronald Reagan had some good qualities, hell, he gave me a raise when I was in the military back then. That being said, his policies on some things really sucked, especially when he was governor of Kalifornistan. So, he's a douche like the rest of them. There is a time for violence, our Founding Fathers knew it, and that was the greatest solution to the problems at the time. We are a nation because of that violence, and, it seems it's needed yet again.

That being said, his policies on some things really sucked, especially when he was governor of Kalifornistan. So, he's a douche like the rest of them. There is a time for violence, our Founding Fathers knew it, and that was the greatest solution to the problems at the time. As a fellow martial arts enthusiast and veteran I assume that we both share a common credo and discipline regarding the use of violence. Yes, our founding fathers were juxtaposed into the right (opportunistic) time and righteous duty for violence and revolution against the cult of the monarch. That righteous determination was afforded solely upon solid philosophical grounds and clear vision as to what "progressive" (not in the contemporary sense) political status (commonwealth law/colonial governmental models) could replace the cult of the monarch.

The utter lack of any sophisticated philosophical or concreate governance vision within the contemporary childish tribal calls for political violence are morally bankrupt - even from persons whom I suspect have - in most of their lives - admirable morality. Being a forward deployed support officer in Operations Restore Hope and Joint Endeavor - as well as station in Germany gave me unique opportunities (unlike combat arms officers)to engage with the population and my family about how they fell from bad governance to worse. What I found was that people with good in their heart let their emotions induce them into intellectual laziness - opting for merely what social outcome they wanted instead of what was truly righteous at the right time.

Martial Arts philosophies are varied, and I'm not sure what your discipline teaches, but many, to me, are not truly "martially" minded. What exactly is your style or system?

Ignorance and gullibility is no excuse, and that has held true for a long time. I'm unsympathetic to those, who "were" good people, to do bad things simply because they were intellectually lazy. Their apathy is not to be rewarded.
