June 13th, 2005 marked AzCDL’s 20th birthday! Two decades ago the organization established by our four original founders was officially recognized by the State of Arizona.

In the years since, AzCDL has grown to become the largest pro-rights lobbying organization in Arizona. We were instrumental in winning Guns & Ammo magazine’s selection of Arizona as having the best gun laws in the country eight years in a row!

AzCDL will always be on the front lines of the fight for your right to keep and bear arms, but now it’s time to celebrate!

You can join the celebration by attending our 20th annual meeting of members!

The only reason that we are still a progun state is because there are volunteers ready and willing to help. They go to gun clubs and other organizations and inform voters and possible members what the AZCDL does. Right now we have a slim majority in the state house and senate. With antigun voters moving here, we may not see the majority of progun voters anymore. Those voters will determine if Arizona changes our laws into New York, Colorado or California laws.
The analogy that I use is, "If one bee is bothering you, you can shoo it away. If 1,000 bees are bothering you, you should think about what you need to do. Since our membership is over a 1,000 ACTIVE members(not sure this is just estimated) the politicians are listening(EXCEPT HOBBs) and are producing progun bills. If Moms demand Action and other groups like them get involved and change the majority congress in Arizona, they will have more influence on the politicians and we will lose our rights as gun owners.
If you are not a member of AZCDL and progun, I think, the minimum that you should do is get on the mailing list and that way you will be able to keep informed on what is happening in Arizona gun laws. Membership is only $60.00 a year or $50.00 if you join at a special event and there are many special events that you can find out about, or just ask me. Hell, I even signed up a Retired Navy Seal at one event. He didn't live in Arizona, but he was willing do join and donate to our cause. Many other volunteers are at gun clubs and shows throughout Arizona trying to spread the work and get members. We all know that gun owners are looking for a "BEST DEAL", you have to realize membership in AZCDL is the best PROGUN DEAL in Arizona. We fight to so we can all keep our guns.

^^^ Doubling down on what Thom said.

How is it that every AZ gun owner is not an AZCDL member? I talk to dozens, maybe hundreds, of people at every gun show I volunteer at. If 20 join I'm amazed.

Every election sees more Californians voting for more "gun control", and pro-rights majorities shrinking, and the antis are outnumbering us by AT LEAST 2:1 in RTS.

WE ARE GOING TO GET VIRGINIA'ED if an awful lot of folks don't wake up, start paying attention, and making just a minimal effort. AZCDL makes it so easy, and most gun owners literally won't lift a finger to defend our rights. And those are the folks who'll how the loudest when AZ becomes Californiazed. "Where was AZCDL, why didn't they do anything, they're worthless!"
