But remember, not every hill needs to be your hill to die on, so don't lose your cool. There's nuance in everything, and we don't have to agree all the time. But we should be more civil as a community, especially when we have an enemy that is unified against us.

At this point there is no more compromise left in me, if anyone thinks that any further infringement on my second amendment rights are justifiable, then they are my enemy.
Fudds who think semi auto rifles (aka the Zumbo’s) have no sporting use, and anyone thinking that magazine restrictions, banning any firearm due to features are a good thing, can all shove it.
We as a community have for too long allowed our rights to be whittled away by those with opinions not based on facts, those that base their perceptions on media talking heads knowing what’s best, and politicians with agendas all wanting us disarmed, and many of which just happen to be from the firearm community.
Just because someone owns firearms does not automatically make them my brethren, and you need not look any farther than some of the fringe leftist groups to see that.
“Compromise” and “civility” only work if there is reciprocity, which has never been the case with not only liberals, politicians, but also many in the firearm community it’s self, they hate what they don’t like or are scared of, and expect us to bow to their whims.
No more, stand for your rights, or kneel before your masters, the time for talk and discourse is over, not one more iota of my already eroded rights will I give away to those that care not for me or mine.
And those that would ask it of me mean nothing to me.

I absolutely agree with your sentiment of no compromise Gunslinger. In the area of our supposedly 2A protected rights (and other natural rights), I not only believe we should stand firm and be unwavering. I believe we need to work toward the rollback of unconstitutional laws that have been infringing on our God-given rights for far too long.
Without compromise, I think we can still be civil within our community and not end every disagreement foaming at the mouth. That's all I'm getting at. Most people will not be persuaded no matter how hard we try to force-feed them, and I feel like most people just dig in further when disagreements feel more like attacks.
Also, we're not the only people reading these threads. This stuff is popping up in search engines, and I'm concerned about what influence certain altercations could have on fence-sitters who have the potential of becoming future 2A defenders. We're fighting an information war, and the infighting hurts our branding.

I just realized that I never answered the original question of the thread. I don't think that the staff at a gun store or any other store for that matter should be asking me who I voted for. I'm unapologetic in my support of Trump despite Trump voters being called domestic terrorists, but I would probably look at them funny and try to make them feel socially awkward for even crossing that threshold.
Honestly, I don't even know why someone would have to ask. I sparked up a brief conversation with a guy at the store yesterday, and I know exactly who he voted for. It seems like there's a sharper contrast of certain traits between those that are riding with Biden versus the freedom lovers. Maybe tyranny will do that to a society.

It was a fellow customer that I bumped into in this case and not a store employee. We were gabbing for about 45 minutes blocking half the aisle. He seemed to be pretty genuine and not just a chameleon. Also, he wasn't wearing a mask. That tends to be a strong giveaway. :lol:Gunslinger808 said:

I don't blame them for asking. If they voted for a person that essentially wants to put them out of business then they have the right to tell em to go pound sand. I myself, like RJ have decided to not do business with a few clients due to the political differences that we shared.
good info here and some hypocrits also, (spelling), hehe, rights, there is a reason we have them, and there is a reason they are trying to take them away, the capital thing terrified them, because they know if any amount of organization will paralize their movement to ''take over'', they know it, now we just have to know it and do it.

I don't know if its an older guy thing and it was the thing or just some dysfunctional stuff I was taught as a kid by the adults in my life but I was always taught that your vote was your business and asking was impolite. It was almost like wishing or sex acts with your old lady .. it was supposed to be kept secret and only you should know.
Now .. granted .. I spew at the keyboard here and other places regularly so my stance isn't exactly unknown but I think I would still be put off if I were asked when I entered a business. Even being a Guy from the right .. I would probably say none of your fuking business and leave.

Personally I would politely say that's none of your business (who I voted for). If they choose to ask me to leave or not sell me something than that's their right as a business. I'll just go spend my money elsewhere and review the retail location accordingly so others can decide if they want to support them or not. I think it's rather silly. If a person really wanted to buy something they could just lie. It's not like other people don't do it all the time...to buy things they aren't allowed to buy...after being asked questions about their legal ability to obtain said thing...
