Here is a Russian with a captured KRISS Vector. Likely a semi-auto SBR taken from a citizen.

Chechen troops in Mariupol posing with recently captured sniper weapons. Appear to be armed with Barrett M98B and Accuracy International AXMC sniper rifles.

Here's a first! A lot of stuff is being found on the battlefield that has previously only been showcased at factories or trade shows. This one, captured from an abandoned position in Sumy. Looks like a Degtyaryov Plant A-545 rifle with a Valday 1P87 optic used by Russian VDV spetsnaz in Ukraine.
Also a Sturmer Tropen sleeping bag.

FN just donated another batch of rifles to Ukraine. This time, SCAR-L models. As before, just as was done with the FNCs and the CZ Brens, these rifles are being issued to the foreign volunteers arriving in the rear where the donated weapons have arrived,...Lviv. This picture was taken by one of the Belarusian Brigade volunteers, inspecting his spanking brand new in the box SCAR-L.

An awful lot of previously "illegal" guns that Ukrainians kept squirreled away have come out of the woodwork during the war. I'd love to know the story behind this cherry Mauser Shnellfeuer select-fire "Broomhandle" and how it was hidden away in such fine shape since the end of WW2. Typically, these were only issued to domestic police forces inside Germany proper,...so how the fug did it get here?!?!

A Ukrainian in the Red Army bring-back souvenir?

Here is a Makarov a Ukrainian had been wearing on the front of his plate carrier. A Russian sniper round destroyed it and then lodged in his American-supplied plate.

Not a Makarov, looks like a Stechkin APS

Another Malyuk bullpup. Notice the rubber boots and the standing water. It is now mud season in Ukraine. Living in trenches during this time is miserable. The southern plains which Russia wants to advance across is all a soggy bog like this right now.

US-made Mk19 40mm belt-fed grenade launcher as tail-gunner on pick-up.

Another shot of that very new-looking Mk19 in the foreground.

A little difficult to see here, but in the bottom right corner, the dude wearing the NY Yankees ball cap has a Czech UK59 belt-fed 7.62x54R, donated by the Czechs.

Here's video of a donated German MG-3 being trained on beside a bunch of AK74s.

A batch of Desert Tech rifles newly arrived to be distributed to select users, from MDRX, to HTI precision rifles (in .375...), to SRS-A1 precision rifles of differing barrel lengths.

I've seen quite a few pics of destroyed equipment rusted like that. Wonder how long between the time they burned (and the paint burned off,) and the time the rust gets to this state. Must be a few days anyway.

That is not rust, per se. That is the color of the residue (steel oxidizes very quickly) left after intense heat.

In my experience with burning metal, this happens rather immediately if the humidity is high,...which it is over there. The high temps of fire chemically alter the surface layer, promoting an early aggressive corroding. If it rained or fogged in the last 24 hours, that's all it would take.

Another privately acquired KRISS Vector, this time in the hands of a beautiful medic.

Another Accuracy International. This one appears to be a longer magazine model, so I'm guessing .338Lapua?

I haven't seen too many RPDs in the field. Probably because most were given away to hot spots in the Cold War or sold for cash when the wall came down.

We see a few things here. The sniper weapon appears to be another Savage 10 BA Stealth, while the shooter has a Tavor on his back, while his assistant is carrying a 7.62 AKM and an RPG22.

A couple of sneaky boys with a corpse. One has a suppressed AR while the other has a rubber buttpad on his AK.

To those who say you can't hear deafness,...I give you this picture. I remember getting rocked by concussion when just firing a weeny bitty 10mm through an open 55 gallon drum. But a .50 belt-fed inside a confined space? What? What?

Russians are ticked off at the use by Ukrainians of match grade ammo with HP projectiles. This video is one from them highlighting this. Rather nice .50BMG rifle in it.

I don't know what these anti-materiel rifles are,...but DAYUM!!

Not too many Steyr AUGs floating around out in Ukraine, but they are there.
h7fciXh.jpg

Another DP28 gunner with a Krink as well.
wgKJ40h.jpg

An SPG9 recoiless gun. NOT a recoiless rifle. These are smoothbore rather than rifled, and essentially are RPGs on steroids. They blast an RPG-type of projectile downrange, which just like the RPG7 you may be familiar with, ignites its rocket motor after traveling a distance. It essentially extends the range over the RPG7 to more than double.

Yet another happy owner of a suppressed Barrett
