lol, some fool thinks that this turd is worth $1,800: https://gunsarizona.com/classifieds/firearms/ad/ar15-10880

Ah, it is extraordinarily annoying to have posts like the original, with no context and expecting others to know what they're referring to. I wished they'd stop that nonsense.

Oh, and thanks, I'm now aware.

Good afternoon everyone, I read through these forums often, but don't normally post. I created and run the Guns Arizona Classifieds website and figured I should address this one... FYI, the guy that has 80+ items listed decided to renew them all at once, so you will see them towards the top of the list today. It's really no big deal though, as he has a large, beautiful private collection he has been trying to sell. We are allowing all those ads to stay up because he's a real local seller with real items for sale (as far as we are aware).

Yep, shame folks can't mind their own business huh? Next thing you know, they'll call the ATF for selling without a license. :o :o

Oh, and thanks for the update.

Bryan, thank so MUCH for what is clearly NOW thee best site of it's kind for those of us here in Az.
I don't even see anything that could be improved upon, it's that friendly.
I've even reported a couple of scammers and their ads to you, and you/your team have promptly
axe'd their ad/s. KUDOs

Thank you for the kind words. It's a lot of work to keep the site running smoothly and as clean as possible from scams. We really appreciate the kudos!

Agreed. There are some other great national sites, but this is my go-to when I want to sell locally. It's nice that I'm not seeing as many scammers on there. The only things that could make the site better are more users and maybe a rating system for buyer/seller accounts.

FYI, we do have a rating system in-the-works. Not sure exactly when it will be officially rolled out, but it is something we are working on.

How do you break down the new and the old ads. I tried to find new and couldn't find 80 in a row.

Thanks
Thom

That's awesome to hear! I'd feel a lot better meeting up with someone if I knew they were good to go. Especially if I've got a pricey gun or a bundle of cash.

When browsing listings (in any category), all ads are sorted as follows:

- The first ads displayed in the list are those that have the "FIRST" paid promotion added... You can easily identify those because they have a little diagonal red banner over the top-left corner of the image that shows "PROMOTED".

- Keep scrolling down below the promoted ads, and you will find the normal free ads. They are listed as newest (most recent) first. The further you go through browsing pages of ads, the older they get. However, keep in mind that ads automatically expire after 90 days (as long as they are not renewed), so you will not find anything older than 90 days on the site. This keeps the listings fresh.

Note that when browsing a page of ads, each ad includes a timeframe (when it was posted) shown directly under the price. For instance, you might see something like "42 minutes ago", "1 hour ago", 2 weeks ago", etc.

I hope this helps!

Neat idea sadly it’s full of $49 AR lowers built up and asking a lot more than they are worth.

I think I’ll stick to big box stores and pay less.

I can’t imagine the nightmares you have to deal w running that site.

A scammer put up an AK pistol yesterday for about half of what it should sell for. I had JUST started 'working' him in text message. I went to refresh the ad, and WHAMMO! Someone had already nuked it.
They were on it like white-on-rice.

Just like any other internet sales site, due diligence and a few questions or extra time stamped pics are always a good strategy.

With everything that gun comes with he’s giving you a deal at that price

My quick and dirty response to the 'sellers' is.....

Sure, just send me ONE (more) pic of it with a set of house, or car keys next to the trigger-guard.

Crickets begin chirpin............
