Gun Movement

Fortunately, I haven't been in the position to need to defend myself with a firearm, but I can't imagine you're wrong. I'm sure that fear comes rushing right in. If you train with a firearm regularly, that shouldn't be a problem at all. For a new gun owner (who may not have even fired their new gun yet) that may be a big issue.

That's all I'm saying. I just want those people to be safe and get trained. As I mentioned, I would even be happy to facilitate some of that training if someone close to me was a new gun owner. I'm not judging anyone.

I have very mixed feelings about all of the new gun owners out there. On one hand, I think they could grow to love shooting and legitimately reverse any existing anti-gun ideology. On the other hand, many of them are people that feel threatened and are panic buying out of fear. Coming from a mindset of fear, I think they could be more of a danger to themselves and others. Plus, I doubt most of them have any gun safety training.

" I just want those people to be safe and get trained"

No, you don't,... when you publish the typical Demonscat propaganda phrase,... "I think they could be more of a danger to themselves and others",... you are presenting a left wing/one world mind set, that is used to demonize and open the door for infringement against gun owners.

Not that we have to agree at all, but it doesn't seem like you're even trying to understand what I'm conveying. I understand where you're coming from, but it seems like you're just trying to demonize me because I said a phrase that was triggering to you.

I DO believe that some people are more of a danger to themselves and others when they own a firearm, especially if they don't understand how to use it properly. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to buy a firearm. Understand what I'm saying? Pro 2A. Pro learn firearm safety.

I'm not taking a position of saying these people shouldn't be able to buy guns. Very different from the "left-wing/one world mindset" referenced. Sorry if it came across that way because this is not where I'm coming from at all.

Thanks for your explanation.

I have become very aware of what "WORDS MEAN" since Trump has become Pres, with all the political verbal attacks he has had to endure,... and feel some political phrases make definitive mental statements.

I have read more than once, where the phrase,... " I doubt most of them have any gun safety training.",... is used to suggest regulations/legislation that would make it mandatory to pass some sort of gun safety class, before being allowed to purchase a self defense tool.

Which, of course, is an infringement on our 2nd amendment protections to our Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms, and, opens the door for Government setting the level of regulations for said classes,... if you get where I'm going?
