Nice storm.

Power out from about 6pm to 3am, APS.

Good thing the rain has cooled us off out here.

Cranked up the LED lantern and flashlights, battery operated portable multiband radio.

Amazing how quiet it is without the AC, refrigerator, etc running.

Was watching the doplar radar. Watched it come in from N.M. and came right for us. But nooooo.....it fizzled out 20 miles from us and started to accumulate further south until N.E. of Phoenix. Hoping for a good soaker rain up here, the deer so far have eaten what they could reach. Anything from grape leaves, silver maple, willow, ash trees, and even my tomato plants. First time in 13yrs we had this problem since we really haven't had moisture to speek of in a year.

The upside is we're on solar so no power outages ever. The downside is we only have a swamp cooler for the house.

Sent a PM to Brandon and then thought it might be worthwhile to pass this on: The range in Young is now locked--gun club members and guests only. It is closed on the weekends that trap shoots are held. Out-of-town folks are welcome to become members.
