Hi
It's my second day of being a good citizen and contributing to the community so I can regain the privilege of browsing the classifieds. :flags-usa:

I am so glad I am being more active as I have learned so much already.
In fact, yesterday I learned I am a whiny, entitled, selfish liberal snowflake.

I can't wait to see which geritatric dementia patients will show up today and help me continue to grow with their passive-aggresive critique of my character.

Well, I have to go now. Someone has to work and pay FICA, those ventilators aren't going to pay for themselves.

Essential Business.
Found out last night I have to inspect operations at St Louis plant and Bristol, PA immediately. Going to find out today if it's even possible to travel, get a hotel and eat. That's on top of dealing with this whole pandemic situation and keeping my facility up and running. I have a number of people taking vacation time and am filling in with temps. Not the best time to be leaving for a week.

Plane tickets are cheap, the airports are ghost towns, hotels are empty, and you can get takeout/delivery from most any place you would've sat down at otherwise. You just end up seeing more of the hotel room...

Just think of all the extra time in the hotel room you can post/contribute on AZS.

Great break from work.

There are plenty of dead horses around here to beat up. Just pick another one.

Seriously. Give it a rest.

Buying a plane ticket now is basically like chartering your own private jet!

I think this is the best time to be traveling. The only thing I'm not sure about is if Uber is running or not, so there may be other little travel considerations like that.

I was in OKC a couple weeks ago. Uber was the only thing that got me around. They weren't at the airport because it was dead, though. Plus, Uber is offering free Ubereats deliveries. So, the drivers are still around.

Will they still harass me over my firearm that I'm checking?

Yes, and now they have all the time in the world to keep harassing and scrutinizing you.

Great. Leaving Phoenix is always easy. They x Ray it right in from of me and if they have a problem I'm right there. Leaving Indianapolis IN they sh!t their pants when I check it. Once I'm going through the x ray machine I get called over the intercom to go to TSA desk. They want my key so they can open and look at it. I tell them not without me there to watch. They say they can't do that. Then I show them the ATFE rule on that and they throw a fit.

:angry-banghead: It's funny how TSA is different at every airport. Did I say funny? I mean infuriating. I've gone through a checkpoint in one city, and an agent was criticizing me for taking off my belt since the buckle was so minimalist. The same day, I went through a checkpoint in another city, and they were acting like I was trying to smuggle a bomb on the plane because I didn't take the same belt off.

Was that a subconscious attempt at making a poorly written portmanteau? Self projecting Freudian slip maybe?

Fat-fingered typing as fast as I could. Had a lot to do before attending a "brief" meeting in Phoenix at 8:45 which ended up being two meetings in two facilities and didn't end til 2:00.

Not only am I traveling to Wentzville and Bristol, there will be a contingent with me. Oh joy. I am so hoping I can recruit enough managers to go that I can finegal a ride on the company jet.

Let us know how the trip was. I'm thinking of taking one myself and am wondering. A few states are making people prove they have essential business in order to travel. I'm curious is you get asked for papers.
