Guy shoots through his own windshield. Think it's going to be hard to prove self defense

Even if it all is as the shooter says,...he had the option of just pulling over and letting the azzhole continue down the road away from him. If the other dude also stopped and decided to engage,...well,...then it all would have happened on the side of the road.

But to play devil's advocate,...I can also see him making the counter-argument that keeping mobile and not pulling over was more secure, because once stopped,...where is there to go?

It’s Florida. The fact he didn’t throw a baby alligator into the other dude’s car actually surprises me. This, not so much.

First rule of a gun fight, have a gun
First goal of self defense, break contact....
Don't you have a brake pedal?.....
Stupid people, stupid things......

and his poor friend!!

Guys just probably needed a ride home after work .. didn't expect to get showered with windshield and if the cops pulled them over after shooting at a moving car, through their windshield on a congested highway

they are going to be a little keyed up and itchy and the driver could have put the poor shlub in a dangerous position or at very least picking pieces of road shoulder gravel out of his cheeks as he was handcuffed!

Slow down while he is in front of you, take the next exit, go to the closest police station. Or do this and go to prison.

Live streamed tonight, his explanation on why he did what he did

I was driving on the I-10 a couple of weeks ago, when a pebble popped up and put a big star on my windshield, right in my line of sight. I got online with my insurance company, and filed a claim without ever speaking to a person. The next day, the Safelite truck came to my house, and the nice young man installed a new windshield, no questions, no charge.

So, the good news is:
1 - This guy probably won't have to pay for a new windshield. ("It was a really big pebble!")
2 - Any of youse guys could probably get a free replacement windshield, too, if you decided to do some experimenting. :-)

I am good for a windshield a year. I patch them with the goop from the auto parts a few times and they last a while but inevitably AZ throws a big hunk and I have to replace it. I have never turned it into insurance. I dont even know if I have that rider.

I thought the in between would have been just slowing down some and see if the guy drove off.

Watch the speed displayed at the bottom of the screen...the shooter sped up to maintain proximity with the Nissan. That definitely does not show any type of disengagement, just the opposite. I'm amazed this guy isn't in jail (both drivers).
