Glock 19 vs Glock 43X.

What are the good and bad between the two?
The magazine capacity is equal with the Scherer 15 round magazines.
Trying to justify buying a 43X.

43x is slimmer and shorter. I'm a better shot with the 19. I've shot them for years and recently dabbled with the 48 43 and 43x. I like the feel of all of them, just struggle a tad with grouping. I'm sure more practice will help, it's still just nice knowing I can pick up any 19 and have a very nice grouping at 5-10yds.

They are both great guns. As Azgunlover69 said the 43x is slimmer and shorter. The 43x makes for a better concealed carry weapon and with the Shield Arms S15 magazines you can carry 15+1 without an extended magazine.

I'd say own one of each (not being sarcastic). I have the 43x MOS which has more light mounting options and optic options. I just have a light, no optic though.

The 43x has no problem with round nose bullets. I have both Speer and Federal Premium JHPs. Neither will load without a double feed. That is why I am considering using a Glock 19 for Personal Protection. The 19 eats everything without any problems.

Interesting my 43X shoots JHP just fine. I'll have to shoot more to see if I have issues.

43x is going to be a bit more felt recoil, compared a 19. But the 43x is going to be easier to carry.

Take a look at the P365 series; takes about 60 seconds to swap frame sizes.

I no longer own any Glocks (gasp!), but used to own a G19 and a G48 (longer slide version of G43X but same frame).

For me, I shot them about the same. The 48 carried LIGHTYEARS better than the 19 for me. I could still carry a G19 just fine, but man those slim Glocks are amazing! Felt recoil was a tiny bit more just due to reduced weight, but I still shot my 48 fine (even used it for a USPSA match, with factory 10rnd mags, when the front sight on my 92G came off mid-stage).

Part of why I let it go, aside from my wrists not liking the grip angle as much as I got older, is that I didn’t view any of the 15rnd mag options as being reliable enough for carry. Everyone has to form their own opinion on that, and I didn’t necessarily feel undergunned with the factory 10rnd mags (the grip angle was the major factor in me parting with my Glocks). But that still played a role in my decision.

Great guns though, IMO. You can’t go wrong with either a 43X or a 48!

I don't currently carry my 43x therefore I haven't even attempted to shoot jhp. I too will have to try my trip to the range.

Currently carry, compete, teach and take courses w a G43X. Running S15 mags, make sure you have the Shield mag release. No issues running any kind of ammo BUT, it might be a tad more sensitive to poor grip than full-size or compacts. If you're newer or have less-than-perfect form, the G19 is more forgiving.

Have both and use for work and edc. I got a 43x so the triggers between the 19 and 43x would be the same, because I carried a Kahr P9 edc before that. I actually seem to shoot slight better with my 43x when I qual. But as everyone else said 43x is way easier to carry. I only carry the factory mags right not, but have one shield arms mag, and a few of the PSA 15 round mags for the 43x. The PSA mags have a polymer molding on the front so you don’t have to swap mag releases. I did have one FTL with one of the PSA mags, but they don’t have a whole lot of rounds on them so it could be a break in issue.

I have a 43x, 48 and a 19 all with optics. I carry them all but I would have to say my favorite for summer daily carry is the 43x. I would get one just for the rotation but then again I have issues with collecting pistols lmao.

I like my 43x, but I love my 19. 43x is the everyday carry as it is the perfect size for me in that aspect, does not feel as well as the 19 in any way shape or form

Thanks for the information and opinions. I used the 43x in competition at C2. The triggers and holosuns are the same. What threw me off the most was the grip. I know it was built to be a single stack and 19 fits my hand like a glove. How do I adjust my grip and get used to to smaller grip?
