No the media will tell the public she held on until after the election because of her concern that President Trump would nominate her successor, Dems won't be made to look bad over this, just the opposite will be the media spin.

Yep, too close to the election now. At this point I hope she does hang on and when Trump wins they can blame him for killing her. The dems have shot themselves in the foot so many times during Trumps first term I'm surprised any of them can walk.

I am not arguing, just asking a question. How could they hold up the confirmation hearings? Do they have the votes in the Senate to defeat a cloture vote? Is there any reason Trump could not nominate a successor on Monday, have Senate hearings with a cloture vote on Tuesday, have final debate/objection on Wednesday, and vote on Thursday?
